The narrator for Emma is really excellent. She did distinctive enough voices for the many characters that I always knew who was speaking, without resorting to any annoying renditions (except where the character was intended to be annoying). Really a very impressive job, I would listen to her again.

Sarah Gadon does an excellent job, her voice is pleasant to listen to and her interpretation was as good as what was in my head.

Things I liked:
- Friends to lovers, they're adorable
- a bisexual MC
- Bi awakening, my favorite

Things I disliked:
- Boys being stupid (willfully misunderstanding each other, pushing each other away, straight up being cruel). A little of that goes a long way, and it felt like there was a lot of it.

The narrator was very good.

Short, sweet, with a cute and believable couple.

The whole premise is complaining about an ex, which is something I really hate. Like, own your decision to date that person. But besides that I liked the whole story. It was nice, and felt natural, that they met, had that great date (of sorts) and then went home together. Quick, minimal angst, open-hearted.

The narrator was very good.

Another fantastic poly book from Leigh. Misfits is one of my favorite books, despite the angst. I'm not into angst. And Devil's Dance has PLENTY. But the good parts outweighed that. Authors sometimes create drama by making their characters act in stupid ways (willfully misunderstanding each other, communicating badly, pushing each other away) and these issues often make me lose faith in the relationship. Why should I care about this relationship when the people involved are being such dumbasses? These characters do all those things, but mostly in a way that feels natural and not like the author is forcing problems. Also, not very much. They tell each other how they feel. They accept love.

Things I love:
- Bisexuals. Three! A whole motorcycle gang of them, in fact.
- Polyamory. I always mourn the missed opportunity in these stories for some good ENM, but it's a great depiction of polyamory so I will get over it. Leigh does a really good job of communicating the eroticism and compersion
- Triangle poly (Instead of a V relationship)
- Rough play. Leigh does an excellent job of describing the pleasure and fulfillment of receiving pain and rough treatment. Super hot, her sex scenes are always smooth, fun, and cringe-free.
- minimal children on screen. Children are so tedious.

Things I dislike:
- Eroticizing condomless sex. It's pretty mild here, so it was ok. I especially don't like when it's spur of the moment, before they've talked about it. A simple "I was tested after my last partner" assurance would do the trick
- Leigh has a tendency to beat the "I love this man" first person processing into the ground. After the 50th time it's like yes, I understand. You love him. You're worried about losing him. Her books sometimes feel long and this is why. I know we all do this ruminating when we're in love, but we don't usually subject another person to every one of our moony thoughts over the course of months.

Overall, 5 stars, loved it, binge-read it in a day and moved right on the the sequel.

Oh and the narration is great.

At least it didn't come till the end, and then only talked of. Otherwise I enjoyed the book. I love the marriage of convenience solution to the historical gay marriage problem. It's (close enough to) the poly stories I crave.

Children are so tedious. I don't know why I persisted in finishing this book. But I did, and am not sorry, because other than the irritating child character it was a very nice story.

It has many things I like: low angst, believable chemistry, and a relationship that I believe will continue to be successful and happy. And the fabulously wealthy and beautiful love interest is always fun.

The narrator is excellent. She has a lovely voice, and her interpretation of each character rang true to me.

Some things in romance novels I dislike:
- Vague Pixie Dream Boys
- calling each other "baby"
- the fetishizing of unprotected sex. Unprotected sex is fine if it's done safely and with consideration (which it is, in the book, since one man was tested and the other a virgin), but I dislike the fetishizing of it
- too fast declarations of love
- what is it with the food industry and gay romance novels?

There's nothing *bad* about the book. The writing is fine. The story is simple but I don't mind that. But I was mildly annoyed the whole time, and I think that's mostly because Corbin Wale (great name though) is a type of person I find deeply unattractive and irritating. Vague, dreamy, sensitive, spiritual in an unspecific way. I know people like that exist in real life and some people are very attracted to them and you know what, good for them. They deserve love too.

The narration is good. He has a pleasant voice. His interpretation of Corbin is irritatingly listless, but I don't think it was a wrong interpretation.
