Bit hard to follow the characters

Wasn’t my favorite. Hard to imagine the characters in my mind. Dated dialog. I guess I’m just more fond of contemporary settings and storylines.

Beautifully written book

Beautifully written and read by Harry. I’m so glad he had the courage to tell his own story. He and his family do not deserve to be sacrificial lambs to the palace royals desperate to stay relevant. Disappointing royal family to put it mildly.

Love English mysteries on the whole. But could not identify with these characters at all. Nor the narrator. Made it through a couple hours but its going in the bin.

Disloyal - great book

Really liked this book. Very well written and the narrator is pleasant to listen to. I’m no fan of Trump and though most of this is not surprising in general, the ugliness that lies in Trumps words and deeds behind closed doors is something else. The background provided by Cohen explains so much of what was going on behind the scenes of the things we heard in the news. Equally alarming is Barr’s justice department. This is a must read (or listen to) book. Ugly, dishonest, self-serving Trump is not the man to lead this country.

Excellent and revealing book

I was riveted to this book. It explains clearly how Donald Trump became a lying , blame-shifting, incompetent bully from little on. Fascinating read in every way. What a family, for whom “money is the only currency” to paraphrase a line from the book. Thank you to the author for shedding light on how a man in the Oval Office can be so awful. His father was a similar man and enabled Donald’s bravado despite his ineptitude. Readers can decide if they want 4 more years of chaos and nonsense, which is not going to change. The die is cast.

Astonishing book

Magnificently written story. I couldn’t stop listening . One of the best books I’ve listened to in a while. The world needs more stories about the migration experience. This book will stay with me for a long time.

One of the best books I’ve listened to

Gripping investigative journalism into the abuse of power. Explains a lot about the cover up going on behind the scenes at NBC as news filtered out to the general public about allegations of sexual assault and abuse by Weinstein, Lauer and others. So many loathsome characters co-conspiring to keep the truth from coming out and protecting abusers. A brilliant expose expertly told by Ronan. I have lost my appetite for the Today Show and NBC news division. We have certainly not heard the end of white male patriarchy either. More to be revealed beyond this book, I’m sure of it. Thanks to the women who spoke up.

A bit drawn out

This book seemed to take a long time to get going. A number of times I considered stopping listening, but hung in there. It’s a timely topic, but way too much & too long snarky self talk by main characters.

Riveting from beginning to end

I loved this book. The whole premise was so different, engaging and well written. I actually stayed up one night while I had a lot of my own work to do finishing the audio book at 7am the next morning. Flawless performance.
