One of the more enjoyable audio books I’ve listened to in a long time
Revisado: 04-24-24
Sir Richard Branson brings so much humility, fun, and adventure to his latest autobiography. I have gained so much respect for him and wish I could have the chance to meet him someday.

Historia
Self-made billionaire Sam Zell consistently sees what others don't. From finding a market for overpriced Playboy magazines among his junior high classmates, to buying real estate on the cheap after a market crash, to investing in often unglamorous industries with long-term value, Zell acts boldly on supply and demand trends to grab the first-mover advantage. And he can find opportunity virtually anywhere - from an arcane piece of legislation to a desert meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Insightful and a lot more depth than I expected.

I heard about this book from reading Steve Schwartzman‘s autobiography. I thought all to Sam was just real estate. It is interesting hearing about his other businesses as well. Super smart guy.

Not a lot of depth
Revisado: 04-10-24
Lots of buzz words, cliches, but very little depth. I was quite disappointed at the little I learned from this. I do like him quite a bit as a podcast host.

Historia
Jamie Dimon is Wall Street's biggest player. Following the 11h-hour rescue of Bear Stearns by JPMorgan, his profile has reached stratospheric levels. And while the deals and decisions he's made have usually turned out to be the right ones, his journey to the top of the financial world has been anything but easy. Now, in The House of Dimon, business writer Patricia Crisafulli goes behind the scenes to recount the amazing events that have shaped Dimon's career.

Very disappointed
Revisado: 03-28-24
The author is way too repetitive. While I do think Jamie Diamon is impressive, her constant praising of him was just too much. It felt like I was listening to North Korean propaganda about the “Great Leader”. I think even Jamie would be embarrassed if he read this book. I should’ve checked the ratings before choosing this book. Lessons learned.
