Historia
It seems like any other day. You wake up, drink a cup of coffee, and head out. But today, when you open your front door, waiting for you is a small wooden box. The contents of this mysterious box tells you the exact number of years you will live. From suburban doorsteps to desert tents, every person on every continent receives the same box. In an instant, the world is thrust into a collective frenzy. Where did these boxes come from? What do they mean? Is there truth to what they promise?

What will be

Can’t wait to discuss this book with my book club To see which way they choose to think about the strings. The author gave us many options and as of now I think she covered all.
Great work.

Intrigued by the Method. Possible to lose oneself in an alter ego. The acting was great. Moved quickly. Didn’t want to put it down.

There is so much information in this book even listening twice isn’t enough to get it into my brain. I’m buying the book also.

Disappointed
Revisado: 06-22-22
Too hard to follow the story. I couldn’t keep the characters separated. I love the water and they messed up all my visions and feelings regarding water. Wasn’t what I expected.

Historia
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

Fun and captivating
Revisado: 07-25-21
The story tho somewhat predictable is so full of humor and true to life mental processing that I had a difficult time putting it down. The insight to the challenges of fame and the contrast of lives was the rewarding pleasure of the book. Phillips Soo was outstanding.

Short and to the point
Revisado: 06-24-21
Being myself a therapist, at first I was discussed. Then knowing that we are just people each one unique I let go of judgement and saw the messages this short story gives.
The reader is clearly expressing the emotions as the characters both experience them. Good therapists have processed before getting into others lives. She obviously hadn’t.
