fun the creator of Cinema Sins that points out plot holes, conveniences, inconsistencies, villain moments too silly to make sense, comes a story filled with plot holes, conveniences, inconsistencies, and silly villain moments.
kill you? no, let me sink my own submarine to drown you while me and mine walk away without making sure it worked.

speaking of blind, instead of working on how to communicate how a blind man would go through the adventure or more reasonable deus ex machina on how he sees (aka Henry sending thoughts instead of just reading, which is an awesome twist on the power trope), nope he just had a bear 1 of a kind super bionic eye.
this story needed another round of two of script doctoring/editor revision to make it consistent in style, tone, and ideas from his own prior books.

while good moments are present, the author uses very similar phrasing very often. it creates very little diversity of description, or really character. all marines are roughly the same, all bandits are roughly the same, all rebels are roughly the same less 1, and all the government workers are 1 of 2 types.

the performance and quality of the presentation were excellent. however, the story ends unsatisfactorially. the follow up book is certainly required. this is essentially the opening few chapters of most books stretched out for a whole book, albeit very well.
