good, but watch out for the others
Revisado: 03-18-19
Be careful when you order any of these volumes. Volume 1 has irritating and distracting music behind the narration. The ones narrated by Roska are all probably okay.

Jeeves / Bertie short stories
Revisado: 06-10-18
Excellent if you like Wodehouse. Note, these are short stories about Jeeves and Wooster. This is not a novel. I prefer the short stories myself. The reader is a trifle too fey for my taste. Jeeves & Wooster can be funny without the narration being so airy. Listen to the sample & see what you think.

audio quality is out of date

What would have made Classic Joseph Conrad and Henry James Dramas starring Ralph Richardson, Volume 1 better?
Be prepared to put up with a lot of 1940s-50s radio audio quality, if you can. These playlets do not translate well to what a modern listener expects, in terms of listenability. The actors and actresss were excellent but the technology to record them was not. I'd say this recording is for old-time-radio fans only.

Historia
This selection of hilarious short stories takes the habitually clueless Bertie Wooster to New York. Thankfully, his faithful butler, Jeeves, is along to straighten out the wickets when they get a bit sticky, don't you know. Selections include "Leave It To Jeeves", "Extricating Young Gussie", "Jeeves Takes Charge", "Jeeves and the Hard-Boiled Egg", "Jeeves and the Unbidden Guest", "Jeeves and the Chump Cyril", and "The Aunt and the Sluggard".

reader uses little variety

Would you try another book from P. G. Wodehouse and/or Flo Gibson?
In Jeeves stories the reader must be willing to adopt very different voices for Jeeves and Wooster. Ms Gibson does not do this. Her style is to read uniformly and fast, with repeated tics and inflections largely unrelated to the plot. I heard her read one Henry James story in which her style was tolerable, because the characters' personalities were not dissimilar. But with Wodehouse, her manner does not work. I would not buy this audio again. I'd look for other readers for Wodehouse.
