Historia
Talking about death and dying is considered taboo in polite company, and even in the medical field. Our ideas about dying are confusing at best: Will our memories flash before our eyes? Regrets consume our thoughts? Does a bright light appear at the end of a tunnel? For most people, it will be a slower process, one eased with preparedness, good humor, and a bit of faith. At the forefront of changing attitudes around palliative care is hospice nurse Hadley Vlahos, who shows that end-of-life care can teach us just as much about how to live as it does about how we die.

I really liked the level of honesty. Lots of layers to this book and very impressed with her thought process, kindness, and honesty!

Historia
Since the dawn of time, people have been fascinated by those who claim to have extraordinary psychic abilities. The fascination has reached a fever pitch with the rise of modern media. It is safe to say that many of these folks are either extraordinary frauds or extraordinarily deluded. But could some of them be legitimate? Do some people actually possess psychic gifts that can be used to help and heal?

Love this book!
Revisado: 01-21-22
I love how real she is. Seems very sincere, real, honest and raw. I wanted a different prospective. So many views immediately say you can’t have both: religion and mediums. I think there absolutely can be both and both are quite relatable. Love this book, author and the narrator!

Great information on a tragedy
Revisado: 10-10-20
Still not sure how I feel on this one, but with some of the information released from this book makes me lean on the side of guilty. Well researched. A bit of repetitive information but I understand why. Tragic story for their children!

I also almost didn’t purchase this due to the many reviews on the voice! So glad I purchased. I felt the voice was absolutely fine?!
Very good book, very evil story. I even felt at times too many details were included for other serial killers/rapists to “copy”. The book makes you really think. He travelled to several states and I’m sure more than what he admitted to. The last minutes of each of these people were terrifying. RIP to all the victims. How does someone become that evil? I couldn’t help but wonder how much abuse he endured growing up, we will never know. So sad.

Historia
When renowned defense attorney Jose Baez received a request for representation from Aaron Hernandez, the disgraced Patriots tight-end was already serving a life sentence for murder. Defending him in a second, double-murder trial seemed like a lost cause - but Baez accepted the challenge, and their partnership culminated in a dramatic courtroom victory, a race to contest his first conviction, and ultimately a tragedy, when Aaron took his own life days after his acquittal.

Very detailed, but not boring
Revisado: 01-29-20
When I purchased this, I honestly wasn’t expecting much. I wanted to dislike this attorney and did until I finished this book. I wouldn’t consider myself a fan, but I have respect for the attorney after reading the book.
At the end of the day, this attorney is careful with his words, even in this book. I do wish in a few circumstances when he gave a detailed account of one side, he had not been so vague with Mr. Hernandez’s.
I can now say I have a better understanding of why the jury came back with the verdict they did in the double homicide.
The entire situation was an absolute loss for all involved.

Historia
After an unprecedented, relentless four-year investigation, the long-anticipated Starr Report arrived in 36 boxes to the House of Representatives on September 9, 1998. The report brought to a close the first chapter in the saga of the trials and tribulations of the Clinton presidency. But most importantly, it was a prime piece of evidence in the subsequent impeachment hearings.

So sad for all parties involved. Kim Goldman and her family fought a long time and this is the closest they will come to a confession.
