This is a quick listen that has the same general plot as Sleepless in Seattle so if the title isn’t a spoiler for you then SPOILER ALERT you probably won’t enjoy this book. Go into it knowing the only differences movie to this book are that it’s a MM Romance (disagree with other reviewer that Romance has to contain conflict to be labeled romance)! It’s a teenage girl instead of a younger boy and there’s a dog thrown into the mix.

Fun listen. English accent ok (I will agree not great) and did like the Instagram side story.

Love this start to a great series

Tere Michaels builds a great story arc with a widow finding a new life in an unexpected place (or should I say person).

Listening to this series for a second time - a rare occurrence for me!

Not Always an Easy Listen but a Compelling Listen

I read a few of the negative reviews and hesitated using a credit to get this book.

I have recently been introduced to Linda Howard and honestly love the light and fluffy books (Open Season) as much as the paranormal (Cutting Edge) and the edgier dramas (Ice).

This a book set in 1876 where women were property and property was rarely owned by women. The actions of the male lead seemed harsh and frankly sometimes disturbing but in that time and in that place he actually was much less a neanderthal and much more a metro-man than one would suspect.

I thought this was an excellent use of my credit.

I love a story that can educate me about a different time and place without feeling like I am being educated.

Don't Like Sci-Fi/Paranormal...but

I really liked this book...maybe because Suzanne Brockmann rights such great characters. I only got this book because it was one of the few I had not heard/read of Suzanne Brockmann and it sat on my iPhone for a lone time before I listened to it.

In fact it took awhile even listening to the first chapter (because I agree with another reviewer...what woman in her right mind would open a door to a naked guy claiming to be a time traveler.

But once I got past that part I was sucked into the story and loved the ending (didn't know how it was going to end so I loved that).

This book is not indicative of Suzanne Brockmann's usual story lines but it does show her storyline and character development. Unforgiven is another book that I enjoyed that is out of my "usual" reading choices by Suzanne.

Don't start with this book as your first Suzanne Brockmann but start with any of the Troubleshooters (they all can stand alone)...but warning...starting with one Troubleshooter you will want to listen to them all! Then make your way back to this book.

Spicy Cajun Story

I usually hate cajun accents on books tapes but I really thought Lexi Maynard did a nice job on this.

The story was fairly involved and of course with Shayla - the sex was hot. Interesting enough I really liked Deke in this book but really didn't like him in Book 2.

Great start to a series that I have high hopes for.

Very High School

Note there are only two stories...not three as the three authors would lead you to believe.

And they are not connected except for the location of the reunion (which makes me believe their are other books in the "celebrations" series?

Take your worse nightmare from high school, add sex, and 10 years...

I like all three of these authors but I felt both stories were not very well developed and dare I say it...not very realistic.

To Menage or Not

This is Book 2 in Shayla Black's Wicked Series and as with all Shayla Black books it's erotica all the way. The story is a bit far fetched "virgin wants to lean how to have a menage to please her pop-star friend"...meanwhile staying a virgin (not a spoiler since that happens in the first chapter).

There are a few twists and I must admit I wondered who she would end up with one or both of them...not so obvious there.

The usual...someone is after the girl part of the story ...was not really well developed and the secrets they held were built up so much that I couldn't help being disappointed when I was told what they were.

All that said...the story was good, the sex was great and would listen to it again (not something I say about all the books I hear).

I would recommend starting with Book 1 and listening your way through the series in order.

LOL'ed...at the grocery story

I listen to about a book a week on my iPhone...doing errands...walking the dogs etc.

Usually people think I am listening to music but with this book I laughed out loud...really chuckled. Jill Shalvis does dialogue like very few other romance authors...and this is no exception!

Second in the series of Lucky Harbor. The first two are narrated by the same person who does a nice job with continuity of characters voices (and southern accents (which are often butchered in audio books.

Because of the humour, the pace and the narration I would say this is one of the few books that is better as an audio book...just be warned it may cause embarrassment laughing in strange places!

To Each Her Own

I admit I was reluctant to listen to this one because of the "cowboy" and "Ghost" themes (two of my least favorite romance underscores...but

I LOVED IT. Really entertaining. I had bought it based on my cost per hour calculation and was thrilled I did, One of the few audiobooks I will probably listen to again.
