As always, I love Sherrilyn's work. These stories of love, courage, friendship and endurance are inspirational and often a lifeline in the stormy seas of my life. Fred Berman is the only narrator I ever want to listen to when it comes to her stories. He captures the characters and their spirits better than anyone!

I love the story and adore everything Sherrilyn writes however, when it comes to audio books, the choice of Narrator can make or break the listening experience. I have a great many of Sherrilyn's audiobooks and the ones I enjoy the most and return to for repeat listening over and over again are always the ones narrated by Fred Berman. he's a terrific narrator and seems to understand Sherrilyn's worlds and characters truly as they come to full color and Life in My mind every time I hear him reading them.

Best Narrator Ever!

No one narrates Sherrilyn Kenyon's books anywhere near as well as Fred Berman! He truly gives the best performances and makes every character come to their own distinct life! it's even gotten to the point that I'll even purchase audiobooks that I don't know anything about just because I see that Fred Berman is narrating them. I hope that they never use anyone else for Sherrilyn Kenyon's books again. I wish that they would re-record her books that are not narrated by him with his voice instead.

Value of the Narrator

No offense to Holter Graham. he didn't necessarily do a bad job. and I definitely like him better than some of the others I've heard that do Sherilyn and Kenyon's books. however, no one does a better job than Fred Berman! The voices he does for all the different characters.... whether they be for the Dark Hunter series or The League series, are so good. He truly captures the essence of the characters, the stories and the very world's of Sherrilyn Kenyon. When I read or, especially, listen to these books narrated by Fred Berman, the characters and worlds come to life and play like a movie in my mind. I really wish that the books by Sherrilyn that have not been narrated by Fred would be re-recorded with Mr. Berman's narration.

Always Exceeds Expectations!

I've been a huge fan of Sherrilyn's works for quite some time now. However, the stories of Aricles & Bathymaas/Styxx & Bethany are especially near and dear to my heart. As an authorized and verified role-player, I play the character of Bethany/Bathymaas. Their story is among the most beautiful, heart-wrenching and heroic of all! Having said that, I'd also like to say that Mr. Fred Berman is my favorite narrator! He does such an excellent job with all the characters. He seems to be able to capture their spirit and also differentiate so well that I really feel like I'm hearing all there different voices. I really hope that Mr. Berman continues to narrate all of Sherrilyn's works.

the right voice for the right story or not

like everyone of sherrilyn Kenyon books, this story was fantastic!The way she writes about the places, characters and events in such perfect detail and yet find the perfect balance of detail and action so as not to bore you the too much detail always amazes me.... seriously feel like those places are real those places and people are real... Almost like I know them on a personal level. however, the choice of narrator, I felt, was not a good match. First of all, I think it is very important to read and really know the book. to become very familiar with it's people places and things so ask to do them to justice when reading about and for them. I mean no offense to the narrator. she was very well spoken but, clearly was not familiar with the places, people and events of the Ichidian universe. Her pronunciation of their names and voice quality and tone to use for different characters simply did not match them at all. I found that to be very distracting and irritating and sucked some of the fun out of listening to one of my favorite books by my favorite Author.

The story, book, & Author is my very favorite! Sherrilyn Kenyon never lets you down and always exceeds expectation! I really enjoyed listening to the story and will probably do so many times... Not to mention having read it many times. The only issue I have with this reading is that the narrator does not pronounce some of the names, beings and places correctly. Being an avid, loyal Menyon, I find it highly irritating to hear the main Heroin's name pronounced incorrectly throughout the entire story.

a universe brought to life

.....in short... I love everything Sherrilyn Kenyon writes! She truly brings to life characters, places and worlds to such vivid light that I feel that they truly exist somewhere... sometime. Whether it's the Ichidian universe or the world of the Dark Hunters, Were Hunters and Dream Hunters... I feel that if I just look around the next Corner .....Beyond the next Bend.... I might just be lucky enough to walk straight into the world of magic, Adventure, Heroes and heroines... And a place where love and friendship are truly possible and attainable.
