Narrator McKay is hard to listen too

I've been enjoying this series and have gotten used to the 2 narrators. But the new narrator Mckay is not good. I'm trying to push through but having a hard time getting past her narration. Don't know if I can finish this one.

CAW!CAW!CAW! 😵‍💫

To start I have not finished the book. I will update when I have though. But the constant "Caw" is making me cringe and driving me nuts. I realize she is imitating crows but to my ears it's aweful and annoying. I really want to see where the story goes and hopefully it's good. So I will push through for now but I have a feeling there are many more Caws to come.

Very fun listen! Need book 2!

I liked the story a lot. great Narration and use of soundtrack throughout so that it wasn't distracting or confusing. Although the 15 to 30 sec music at end of chapter is a tad too much. I had that same opinion with some of Neil Gaimens books too. I wish it was longer and there was a little more to the story, I wanted more. Hopefully there will be a second book please??

I have listened to books 1-6 in this series. They are good books and creative. I do have one question, keeping in mind I've only read the first 6 books. Why are all the main characters white? I think adding different ethnicities of people living in America during the 50's, 60's etc. would be very interesting. Just a thought. On to book 7!

Toneless and disrespectful amateurs

I really tried to listen to this podcast because I was interested in the story but I didn't make through first episode. It sounds as if they just decided one day,"Hey we could totally do a podcast", yeah nope. First off the sound effect of someone being stabbed and screaming while describing a brutal murder is so disrespectful and awful. seriously people? You are going to add comic relief sound effects (although was not funny) during a story of a man who raped and brutally murdered young men and boys??!! Side not the wife Cherish sounds like she's reading from a page. she probably is but is completely monotone and it's really hard to listen to. 😬

I enjoy this podcast I have listened to a few. just suggestion look up narcissism and thier behavior. it can help give some detail and also answers to some of the "whys". Narrcassists do not love they possess and use.

The stories were good but not narration

I liked the stories but I had a hard time listening to the stories narrated by the male narrator. His accents were terrible and his reading seemed too forced and dramatic. He also pronounced quite a few words wrong. Again it was hard to listen to him but I enjoyed the stories once I could stop cringing from the narrators voice. The female narrator was pretty good however.
