Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Oh Vlad!

Any additional comments?
I like how this story involves the main family again. I also enjoy hearing about ancient Florence. This story also speaks more about how Vlad became a vampire and that is definitely worth a listen. All and all I enjoyed this book and will be buying the next one

Totally worth while, I loved it

Would you consider the audio edition of A Question of Time to be better than the print version?
I have never owned the print version of A question in time. I read some of the earlier books in print but now that their available on audio I'm very happy
What did you like best about this story?
The feeling of this story. It felt almost like a mystery to me, the plot not being fully apparent to the reader until the end. I listened to this book over a two day period (while cooking all our food for Thanksgiving) and I could not have enjoyed it more.
Which scene was your favorite?
umm spoiler Alert! but I guess the point where the guy comes out of the grand canyon and he is back in the 1940's!

Have you listened to any of Johanna Parker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first Sookie Stackhouse book and I was instantly hooked. Cannot praise the story or narrator enough. I had to read them all.

Historia
First appearing in print in 1890, the character of Sherlock Holmes has now become synonymous worldwide with the concept of a super sleuth. His creator, Conan Doyle, imbued his detective hero with intellectual power, acute observational abilities, a penchant for deductive reasoning and a highly educated use of forensic skills. Indeed, Doyle created the first fictional private detective who used what we now recognize as modern scientific investigative techniques.

Wonderful!
Revisado: 03-01-17
What did you love best about The Complete Stories of Sherlock Holmes, Volume 1?
The mystery! I enjoyed how the first stories are longer more like short books but then Sherlock becomes short stories. I love the way the author describes Sherlock's thought process. I find myself trying to be led by the evidence in my everyday life now. All and all, I had previously tried to read Connan Doyle before but the writing style had me putting down the book and not returning. This brought the characters to life partially due to the performance, but I feel that sometimes hearing older English is easier for my brain to process than reading it. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone
