The Venn Diagram of pastor, politician, and LinkedIn influencer
Revisado: 12-25-23
I truly wish I had spent the hours listening to this book (the full book, no less) indulging in a physical lobotomy instead of the audible one endured. This whole book can be considered a public display of ego and a shameless cash grab. Listen with caution and listen with alcoholic remedies nearby.

Truly one of the worst cases of “autoeroticism turned horrific” imaginable
Revisado: 11-10-23
As a former infantry officer, I’m first and foremost disgusted at the narcissism and autoeroticism of the author’s military background but the way he depicts himself as some sort of God is nothing short of disturbing. I genuinely tried to finish the book, but once he started playing “Monday morning quarterback” to the Columbine massacre, I had to stop for my own mental health. Please, do not read this book unless you’re running a case study for research proposes.
Dan, please, seek help.

I want my money back, whiny child
Revisado: 07-26-23
Painfully off topic incoherent and irrelevant monologuing after beginning by rambling about how the author is smarter than you and me and (crucially) every MBA program that has ever existed despite never attending. A salty outsider licking his wounds after hearing he's not good enough for the first time in his life - an only child without a doubt and you can hear his mother's teat in his voice, still. A waste of time and money in the most literal and painful sense.

Historia
In The Black Swan Taleb outlined a problem, and in Antifragile he offers a definitive solution: how to gain from disorder and chaos while being protected from fragilities and adverse events. For what Taleb calls the "antifragile" is actually beyond the robust, because it benefits from shocks, uncertainty, and stressors, just as human bones get stronger when subjected to stress and tension. The antifragile needs disorder in order to survive and flourish. Taleb stands uncertainty on its head, making it desirable, even necessary, and proposes that things be built in an antifragile manner.

Hi Nasshole Talib, I want my money back
Revisado: 12-22-22
Nassim Narcissist is truly the most unhinged, detached, self-promoting, outright insane, wannabe LinkedIn influencer to walk this earth and frankly I'm amazed he was able to type between furious masturbation sessions while staring at pictures of himself, which he took himself. Please read this book if you believe you know a narcissistic individual and youll quickly learn how extreme the scale can get. Absolute waste of money. Thank you for teaching the world what mental instability truly is, Nasshole.

disappointed, out of touch, try hard, and false
Revisado: 12-17-22
after reading Lencioni's Five Disfunctiond, The Advantage, Ideal Team Player, and literally all the resr, this one was the nail in the coffin. Boomer rants are more coherent and frankly its an atrocious attempt to connect with a generation you dont understand. The great message, whatever it was, is lost in an attempt to be relevant. boo.

Historia
We live in the age of the algorithm. Increasingly, the decisions that affect our lives—where we go to school, whether we can get a job or a loan, how much we pay for health insurance—are being made not by humans, but by machines. In theory, this should lead to greater fairness: Everyone is judged according to the same rules.

Embarrassingly Tragic Story of Self-Victimization
Revisado: 10-18-22
There was almost a hint of math between a constant rhetoric of "when i do X I'm a martyr but when you do X you're asking for attention" as Cathy constantly pines for attention, advocating for the poor with a PhD funded by .... and a career at a hedgefund which provides a cushion the size of .... but doesn't hesitate to highlight her "unpaid internship" and her "choice to leave academia and then wall street and then the start up" which I'm assuming has much to do with her victim mentality. Please, be a better role model for our young mathematicians and highlight what is good. Not complain about what is bad and make yourself a victim. Poor representation of the mathematical community and humanity as a whole.
