Great story Really bad narrator
Revisado: 04-13-25
Enjoyed the story but I swear the guy who narrated this book sounds like Howard Cosell on steroids. It was very distracting and took away from a pretty good storyline. The books only a few months old so I hope they re-record it.

Not particularly good
Revisado: 04-09-25
Read book, but the narration was so terrible. It’s almost hard to say. I was so happy to be finished with this. This one I can definitely not recommend.

Little plot Sales pitch to buy the next one
Revisado: 01-02-25
I enjoy reading series, but each one of these books has less plot than the one before and just stop midstream. This particular book could easily be skipped over and not even read because there’s nothing in it.

The Russian by Saul Herzog is the stunning second instalment in the series that has taken the publishing industry, and Hollywood rights departments, by storm. This dazzling tour de force is a full standalone novel. From the mind of one of the most creative and versatile writers working in America today, this book will surely go down as a classic of the spy thriller genre.

The Asset was really good and looks forward to this book. This one was pretty unbelievable. The whole sexual perversion parts were gross and nasty over the top. Uncalled for.

When he finally answers, his rage shatters the calm of their quiet Sunday morning.

Worst narration ever Weak storyline
Revisado: 11-09-24
No one is a bigger Gamache fan than me. I’ve listened and read the series a few times because It’s so entertaining. However, this narration is awful. This man doesn’t work on every level. This is not the voice we’ve become accustomed to. The inflections are wrong, the accent is wrong, he was hard to understand. I’m beginning to wonder if Louise Penny actually wrote the story or if this was a ghostwriter. I’m so disappointed because I look forward to these books coming out every year and I feel like I’ve lost something I’ve always enjoyed. If it’s the same narrator, moving forward, I won’t listen again
