Historia
There isn't much fun in the sun when a billionaire real estate tycoon is found murdered on the Tilt-a-Whirl at a seedy seaside amusement park in the otherwise quiet summer tourist town of Sea Haven. John Ceepak, a former MP just back from Iraq, has just joined the Sea Haven police department. The job offer came from an old Army buddy who hoped to give Ceepak at least a summer's worth of rest and relaxation to help him forget the horrors of war. Instead, Ceepak will head up the murder investigation.

Cannot make up my mind
Revisado: 02-08-14
I am into the third hour of this book and cannot make up my mind whether to finish it or not. It is quite childish overall, but also has some charm. I am going to stop listening for the moment and go back to it later.

Historia
Helene Wecker's dazzling debut novel tells the story of two supernatural creatures who appear mysteriously in 1899 New York. Chava is a golem, a creature made of clay, brought to life by a strange man who dabbles in dark Kabbalistic magic. When her master dies at sea on the voyage from Poland, she is unmoored and adrift as the ship arrives in New York Harbor. Ahmad is a jinni, a being of fire, born in the ancient Syrian Desert. Trapped in an old copper flask by a Bedouin wizard centuries ago, he is released accidentally by a tinsmith in a Lower Manhattan shop.

Absolutely wonderful
Revisado: 09-13-13
I have to say that this is one of the most wonderful books I have ever listened to. I am still absorbed by the intensity of the dialoge and the intense meaning of every word and phrase.
This is not a novel about a Jinni and a Golem, but about people and their needs and desires.
Please listen to this epic and consider our lives, needs and wants and reflect just want this aurthor wants us to reap from this wonerful novel.
Please do not discount this as it is absolutely fantasic

Historia
Jenn Corbin appeared to have it all: two dear little boys, a posh home in one of the upscale suburbs of Atlanta, expensive cars, a plush houseboat, and a husband - Dr. Bart Corbin, a successful dentist - who was tall, handsome, and brilliant. But gradually, their seemingly idyllic life together began to crumble. Bart was distraught and Jenn seemed disenchanted. Then, just a few weeks before Christmas 2004, Jenn was found dead with a bullet in her head, an apparent suicide....

OMG
Revisado: 05-17-13
Well, this is the best true crime book I have ever heard. It was sensitive and very respectful. I t must have taken a great deal of time and emotional effort to write. I became totally engrossed in the lives of both families and shed a few tears. It had a very satisfactory ending and I admire the author for her ability to share such a personal account of such terrible murders. One can imagine it happening to anyone we know and love.

Revisado: 04-27-13
I am so sorry i bought the abridged version of this book, I didn't see the unabridged underneath within the list. Anyway, apart from that I loved the book and Finty Williams narration.
Sophie Kinsella uses current technology in a witty and sophisticated way that I really enjoyed.
