Sales is a skill anyone can learn and master - and introverts are especially good at it once they learn how to leverage their natural strengths. Introverts aren't comfortable with traditional tactics like aggressively pushing a product or talking over a customer's objections. That's the beauty of The Introvert's Edge: it doesn't focus on the sale itself but on a sales system that helps introverts feel sincere instead of sales-y.

The exclusive interviews and articulate reporting makes this book stand out as the official chronicle to the evolving legacy of Gangster Rap. From it’s rise to it’s current status, author Soren Baker presents the facts and intricacies of a music genre that has often been misunderstood by most of society. Worth the time to listen in audio as the narrator presents the material in an authentic and earnest manner.

The greatest investment advisor of the 20th century, Benjamin Graham taught and inspired people worldwide. When you think of the exponential growth of the stock market and its fluctuations due to the COVID pandemic, you can find better use of your time listening to other books that attest to teaching fundamentals using contemporary examples. Not recommended especially when some of the companies used as examples have been out of existence for decades.

Historia
Is bourbon the quintessential American liquor? Bourbon is not just alcohol - the amber-colored drink is deeply ingrained in American culture and tangled in American history. From the early days of raw corn liquor to the myriad distilleries that have proliferated around the country today, bourbon is a symbol of the United States. This course traces bourbon's entire history, from the 1700s, with Irish, Scottish, and French settlers setting up stills and making distilled spirits in the New World, through today's booming resurgence.

Good material and fascinating information which only confirms that unless I have had some exposure to Bourbon, or had a variety of samples in front of me as I listened to this work, I am absolutely not interested in this subject matter.

Historia
For centuries, Christians and Muslims were embroiled in one of the most infamous territorial disputes of all time, viciously and relentlessly battling one another for the Holy Land. In the heart of Jerusalem sat one of the shining jewels of the Christian faith, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Legend has it that this was where their Savior had been buried before his fabled resurrection. What was more, it was said to house the very cross Jesus Christ had died upon.

Lots of about the past, little present
Revisado: 03-26-20
The Order today is only covered in the last 3 minutes of this book. This book does an adequate job of covering some milestones of the order's 900 year existence. However, it should have taken more effort to highlight events that shaped today's order which bears little resemblance to the group that was founded in 1103.
Narration was satisfactory. However, compared to other titles in Audible, the narrator sounded like a robot and failed to bring alive the richness of the material covered.

Historia
The story we usually tell about childhood and success is the one about intelligence: Success comes to those who score highest on tests, from preschool admissions to SATs. But in How Children Succeed, Paul Tough argues for a very different understanding of what makes a successful child. Drawing on groundbreaking research in neuroscience, economics, and psychology, Tough shows that the qualities that matter most have less to do with IQ and more to do with character: skills like grit, curiosity, conscientiousness, and optimism.

This is for educators, not parents
Revisado: 12-27-18
I was under the (wrong) impression that this book was to help me improve my techniques as a parent. To my disappointment, this book focuses on teaching philosophies applied in schools that produced successful students. If you are an educator, in particular, a school principal, then THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU. Otherwise, if you are a parent, there's really not a lot you can do to control the curriculum of what is taught to your kids and how your kids are taught. You may become smarter in knowing what your kid needs but you'll never be in a position to make these changes unless you are an educator in the teaching profession.

Miller expertly uses different voices to differentiate the many characters of this fine novel. The story itself is also very enthralling as it gives a snapshot of the era and a glimpse of a way of life not known to many.
