I was a hair skeptical about this book from the description. I'm a fan of this book though! I love lit rpgs and this is right up there with some of the best stuff being written! great story great development and progression without it getting repetitive! I highly recommend this book!

wonderfully written! I bought this book the day it came out and I was not let down! so well written It made me glad I pre-ordered it! it also left me just wishing the next book was already out I started book 1 in this series a month ago and have binge read all 11 books! I rarely find a series I adore as much as this one! keep up the good work! also the audio narration is fantastic!

awful book, the author clearly forgot his own characters. the first half of the book is just depressing and full of thorn and Murtagh complaining about life... wish this author never resumed his series. his writing has gone very down hill.

Honestly, i'm deeply disappointed..

I have been a major warhammer and black library fan for decades, and I am honestly really disappointed. The biggest reason for this is that the black library let go of Josh Reynolds.. he wrote almost all of my favorite books in the warhammer worlds and it seems really shortsighted to let him go because of creative differences I understand black library only cares about profits and not good storyline but honestly no other author can write a good fabius bile novel.. I like guy Haley and enjoy the lore interduced, but without Josh writing, the main characters seem bland, and it feels like the author is unfamiliar with the main characters and what emotionally drives them... good book for moving the lore forward but idk the character depth feels really shallow in this novel which is really sad because I read and listen to every book in this universe that gets released and idk this book just felt bland and boring without Josh writing these particular characters... all I can say is that the black library lost a gem letting him go, and it shows...

decent series to start.

This is a decent series to start on getting into warhammer 40k. That being said, the storyline isn't as good as some of the others. reads very well but is limited in scope to what you learn about the 40k universe.
