Historia
My name is Mercy Thompson Hauptman, and my mate, Adam, is the werewolf who leads the Columbia Basin Pack, the pack charged with keeping the people who live and work in the Tri-Cities of Washington State safe. It’s a hard job, and it doesn’t leave much room for side quests. Which is why when I needed to travel to Montana to help my brother, I intended to go by myself.

What love should look like
Revisado: 06-14-24
Very sweet novel on what it’s like to exit an abusive relationship and slowly discover what true friendship looks like and what love really looks like. I highly recommend this book it doesn’t dwell on the abuse of a relationship but on what to seek in healthy relationships and on what that looks like.

Historia
Twenty years ago, monsters rose on earth and began a new age of civilization. One where humans live in military-controlled, cramped and dirty cities along the coasts, and the majority of the United States is known as the Wastes. A lawless, desolate and dangerous place, teeming with monsters that have claimed the land for their own. Including Wyn the Soul Eater. He appears every three years, making his way across the country and slaughtering humans randomly, sucking them dry until they’re nothing but husks.

Character motives are unrealistic to world setting and need to be flushed out more.
Revisado: 12-02-23
The author really needed to look at what a dystopian society/world would look like to the main character and have them react more based on the world, societal biases, and less on the characters random feelings that aren’t filled out enough or explained. The main character joins the army and is immediately thrust into a battle scenario but then four chapters in exclaims that they can’t or won’t shoot anything needs to lead into the character’s backstory, talked about, a flashback, reach into how the military seems to disregard human life. Just give the reader something to explain that. This kind of perception of your just supposed to go along with the character with no in-depth explanation which would build the character’s more and provide greater world building isn’t just annoying but sad in the missed opportunities. The narration is great, the writing was just lacking I couldn’t get past chapter 12 when the character randomly starts to lust after the monster for no other reason than they hadn’t had sex in a while. At least tell me what is attractive about the monster. I got frustrated and gave up.

Without an academic endorsement to make him valuable to the high fey, Saffron will be sent back through the veil to the human world. The place he was traded from as a changeling-baby, and a place he is terrified of. And while getting an endorsement shouldn't be impossible, it's hindered by the fact his literacy is self-taught, using books stolen off of Morrígan Academy's campus of high fey students.

This isn’t just a book, it’s a friend.
Revisado: 10-02-23
I love Prince of the Sorrows so much, the characters have been lovingly built, the description sound like prose, and the story itself is enchanting. If you like the Fae, dark academia vibes, or have ever felt like a lonely queer kid up against the world. This story was written just for you. Kellen Graves is incredibly talented author their ability to paint images with words is unrivaled and the plot will have you up reading till 3am. Christian Leatherman narration is a thing of beauty I look forward to listening to them read in the next book. You won’t regret purchasing this audiobook only that you didn’t purchase it sooner.

Historia
Max Remus couldn't care less about finding his mate—unlike the rest of his fate-obsessed pack. He totally prefers hanging with his bestie, eating his dad's steak sandwiches, and drawing in his trusty sketchbook. But all that is about to change at the Blue Moon Festival—a summer camp where Elite Pack wolves go to find their mates. The festival is a rite of passage for every teen werewolf, and this year's festival will be one to howl home about. The alpha's son, Jasper Apollo, is attending for the first time.

Toxic relationship but with fur
Revisado: 07-19-23
Toxic masculinity and abusive relationship. Most people will say that’s most werewolf or vampire relationships, but usually that has alpha or beta vibes and that really isn’t in this. This is more I don’t know how to deal with the fact I like you internalized homophobia so I’m giving you the silent treatment. I wish I hadn’t bought it.

This beautiful story is good for children and adults. Great for a family road trip with tweens, and older. If you enjoy encouraging children to read and have awareness of the world around them be prepared to talk about social justice, the foster care system in the US in comparison with the book, and how love can combat hate. As for adults this book made me take a good look at how I’m living my life. Am I surviving or thriving? And what are the things that are really important in life? If this book did all this for me, I can’t wait to see what it will do for you! Cheers!

Unrealistic emotion from characters
Revisado: 02-15-22
I stopped listening to this book it was driving me crazy. The two main characters hit a pretty huge snag for their friendship that lead one character with accordance to his background story to feel betrayed in a huge way. But there’s no resolution for their friendship or any time it takes to slowly mend that betrayal. In fact the story takes their friendship and immediately drops them into a honeymoon phase romance. The action is well written but the emotional spaces for the two main characters to mend their friendship and then awaken a romance just got completely brushed over. I feel like I majorly lost out on one of my Audible credits. There is a way to write a romance adventure story have characters from two different stations come across a relational crisis realistically mend that and then move into a romance. However I feel like this author was more concerned with driving the action plot than creating a friendship or relationship for these two characters that looks realistic or authentic. I wish the write had gotten some good critiques before publishing. To me this book is not worth the money or time and after reading several other reviews that all say the same thing I wish I hadn’t bought it. I wanted an action queer romance in space and this book didn’t give me that.

Dev Deshpande has always believed in fairy tales. So it’s no wonder then that he’s spent his career crafting them on the long-running reality dating show Ever After. As the most successful producer in the franchise’s history, Dev always scripts the perfect love story for his contestants, even as his own love life crashes and burns. Everything you wanted in a classic fable and more
Revisado: 11-19-18
If you love the Seelie and Unseelie courts of Holly Black and much older tales if you start this series, your friends will wonder what has happened to you in the last three days this series is just that good. Maas has a new beginning of psychology and fiction that will have you enraptured. Based very loosely off the Polar Bear King that quickly spirals into Maas own fictional world and carries the empathy of what it would really be like to go through some of these scenario's without putting the heroine into the glum damsel in distress needs to be saved by a man attire. This chick has attitude and the reading is excellent so give it a shot and sit for a spell, it'll make any commute ten times more interesting.
