3 for 1 of a Classic
Revisado: 04-09-17
What did you love best about Claus Boxed?
That's it's a three for one ( one credit instead of 3 ) for a wonderful trilogy. I was just going to get the first book to see if I liked it then the "three for one" idea hit me! ( Duh )
Turned out I loved all three in the series.
What did you like best about this story?
Take about imagination! The author has created a whole new fantasy world and a whole new take on Santa, Jack Frost and others. This is not just a book for kids, in fact they will love it but miss a lot of the subtlety....like Harry Potter.
Which character – as performed by James Killavey – was your favorite?
Jack...although he did a great job with all of them.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Claus and Friends

Historia
This audiobook challenges several longstanding notions about the American way of war. It examines US military practice (strategic and operational) from the War of Independence to the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan to determine what patterns, if any, existed in the way Americans have used military force. Echevarria surveys all major US wars and most every small conflict in the country's military history.

Strategic implications for future.
Revisado: 05-19-15
Would you listen to Reconsidering the American Way of War again? Why?
Yes...very "dense" book with complex ideas. I've already listened twice and plan to do it at least one more time.
What did you like best about this story?
Many people, including many in the military, think there is and always has been an American "Way of War," that emphasizes overwhelming and crushing victories no matter what the strategic goals are. The author's thorough survey of American military history points out enormous variety in military practice, and that far more attention to political control was given than is usually recognized. The ideas in this book have huge implications for any future conflicts and should be read ( or heard ) but anyone in the military involved in strategic planning.
Have you listened to any of James Killavey’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I have. He is one of my favorite narrators and did his usual good job.
Any additional comments?
This is an important book and, in my opinion, should be required reading by all U.S. military officers or officers-to-be and by all politicians involved with military decision making.

Historia
Buffalo Jones was the last of the famous plainsmen who rode the trails of the old West. The driving force of his life was to capture wild animals alive, including buffalo and cougars. When he saw that the buffalo were in danger of extinction, he worked for ten years to capture enough buffalo young to set up his own preserve for them, which is how he earned his name. This is the thrilling firsthand account of a hunting trip that Grey took with Jones.

Outstanding true story.

What did you love best about The Last of the Plainsmen?
A wonderful true account of a trip made by Zane Grey and one of the last of the pioneer plainsmen, Buffalo Jones. He was a famous hunter and sportsmen at the turn of the 20th century. Toward the end of his career, Jones decided not to hunt and kill wild animals but to capture and try to preserve incredible animals like the Buffalo that, even back then, were staring to die out. The book relates the trip they made to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to try and track and capture mountain lions and Jones' attempts to preserve the last of the buffalo from extinction.
What did you like best about this story?
Zane Grey's wonderful prose and narrative skills make these adventures comes to life.
What about Jim Roberts’s performance did you like?
Does a very good job with the narration.
Who was the most memorable character of The Last of the Plainsmen and why?
Buffalo Jones..bigger than life character.
Any additional comments?
For those who are used to Zane Grey as an old West writer with lots of cowboys and gunfights, this will be quite a change but is is a wonderful story in it's own right.

Historia
This is a short report on the amazing health and anti-aging benefits available right now to seniors who wish to postpone old age and death for as long as possible. This work is all-original and all-unique. What causes us to age? At first, that sounds like a stupid question. Aging is such an intrinsic aspect to the human condition we tend to take for granted that it...just...happens. The common way of thinking about this is from the perspective that our bodies are physical, and everything else that's physical eventually wears out or breaks down, such as our cars, our houses, and even our computers.
