Narrator ruined the story

I read this series about 8 years ago and saw that it was recently added to Audible so thought it would be fun to listen to after all these years. I knew the story lines were simple and full of kink so was not expecting to be wowed. In fact I really enjoyed the voyeurism in the second book and the story line. When it came to the third book I couldn't even get half way through. The narrator just ruined it for me, she sounded like a computer generated voice. There was no inflection or changes in her tone so it made the physical scenes sound awful. Good luck to anyone who stick it out, I guess I will have to read it to remember how it ended.

Buyer Beware

I saw all the great reviews, listened to the sample and thought the storyline sounded good. Beware this is young adult characters written for a 38 year old women and 35 year old man. Both characters are emotional roller coasters with immature and vulgar dialogue. I couldn’t even make it to the so called funny parts. So if u are young then you will probably enjoy it otherwise find something else to listen to. I did enjoy the narrators voices.

I have read (2x) and listened (2x) to the series. I really enjoy the characters interaction with each other. Harper is easy going with a quick wit and Brand's pride and determination make for a good team. There's a lot of sex scenes in this book but in the end the declaration of love Brand shows Harper is truly romantic.

Favorite story of the rough rider series

I love the story line between Chase and Ava. The friendship that develops first with an underlying sexual heat makes for a worthwhile read. Even Chase's vulnerability that he shows to Ava makes him a true hero.

At first I struggled with the narrators voice because it just wasn't what I wanted. She was very good but I had different expectations, even the cover needs to be of a shorter man to represent the story better.

I am new to audible and was using the filter recommendation so I don't even remember what allowed me to find Making Faces but I am extremely glad I did. The story is pure and inspirational. The dialogue smooth and simple.

I really enjoyed listening to Rob Shapiro's voice, he did an excellent job. Amy Harmon is a really good story teller, transporting me to the time and place where her characters live. I only wish I could be an inspiration and offer encouragement half as well as Bailey, Fern and all the other characters.

I am highly recommending this book and look forward to listening to more by Amy Harmon.
