This was a good story, a bit strange, a bit like a “magical kingdom in a forest” kind of story, but with some odd twists and 21st century language mixed in. I couldn’t grasp what time period this actually was supposed to be set in. I picked the book because I thought I would learn more about poisons (the title does say “study”) but there is no depth to that at all. Disappointed in that, but enjoyed the story pretty well.

I will be touched by this story forever. The story tellers voice is soothing and her changes of character are wonderful. I wonder what ever happened to Ruby Dunn and I want to know so much more.

Best book ever, don’t want to watch the movie to ruin it.

I love this book. It was impossible to put down and the constant references to videos games and technology made me exuberant. It never got boring and there was always something interesting and always made you compelled to finish the book. Great book.

Interesting arguments!

I really appreciate the points made in this book - I am a conservative and a PhD scientist and I have never agreed with the left’s argument that conservatives are anti-science. This helped me to understand why the allegations are made and how to defend against them. I don’t agree with all of their solutions to the problems but I appreciate the thoughts.

Awe striking story

I was so fully immersed in this book for 3 days and took my phone with me everywhere to listen. Masih is an inspiration to all women and I fully support her. Her story reveals the violence against women in Iran and puts such fear in me of the Iranian government - no, all Islamic governments. I guess she has made me more of an islamaphobe than I already was. She slams American conservatives for being Islamaphobic but at the same time she gives me further reason to remain so.
