Amazing story, horrible narration
Revisado: 08-11-23
This book is great, it's so good that you can get past the horrible narration. Please Audible get Scott Brick to redo the narration of this amazing book and some of the other Tom Clancy books. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through, plenty of action and suspense. There is several small technical errors in the book, mainly the name of the F22 Raptor, its a small complaint coming from an aricraft nerd. The were alot of great moments in the story, ome of my favorite was the John Clark and Progie reunion "Your dead" from Progie made me laugh. Over all i loved this book and had a great time with it.

The writer really does homage to Tom Clancy
Revisado: 12-13-22
I love the story, this writer really makes it feel like the old Tom Clancy books. Jack Ryan, John Clark, and Mary pat are some of my favorite fiction characters. I liked that Mary Pat Foley and John Clark taking more of the center stage in this book, showing how mucg bada**** they are. Then theres the mystery of the F117 that was a real thing before it was unveiled, with people really believing that it was an ufo and the Soviet Union really would had done anything to get intel on it. Overall i really enjoyed this book and will listen to it again. Scott Brick really does need to do all of these books, especially some of the older ones.
Side note, Lockheed didnt Merge with Martin tel the 1990s, small little mistake in an other wise great book.

Historia
Frank Luke, Jr., was an unlikely pilot. In the Great War, when fliers were still "knights of the air", Luke was an ungallant loner, a kid from Arizona who collected tarantulas, shot buzzards, and boxed miners. But during two torrid weeks in September 1918, he was the deadliest man on the Western Front. In only 10 missions, he destroyed 14 heavily defended German balloons and four airplanes, a rampage unequalled even by the dreaded von Richtofen, and the second highest American tally of the entire war.

Just another Tragic story of Ww1
Revisado: 07-28-22
Over all i enjoyed the book, learned about a brave young man who died heroically, but it was one small tragedy in a time full of tragedy. A life never got to be completely fulfilled. Now main complaints are the way the narrator said some fo the names annoyed me. Then when every lime about a pilot dying was something about them flying off into the sunset

Historia
In 1307, as they struggled to secure their last strongholds in the Kingdom of Jerusalem, the Templars fell afoul of the vindictive and impulsive king of France. On Friday, October 13, hundreds of brothers were arrested en masse, imprisoned, tortured, and disbanded amid accusations of lurid sexual misconduct and heresy. They were tried by the Vatican in secret proceedings. But were they heretics or victims of a ruthlessly repressive state?

a good over view of the history of the Templars
Revisado: 02-24-22
Dood info, but it skims over most of the history. It kind of has to cover that much. if you want more detailed info on certain events, I am sure there are other books that cover those events. Overall, a good book learned a lot about a subject that I am interested in

good but not the best
Revisado: 10-06-21
Overall it's a good book, compared to the rest of the Jack Ryan book well its not the best. It's far less tense and most definitely far less violent. I been reading the Ryan series alot lately and this one was a nice break from the violence of the other books. It a simple spy story and very strait forward. Just a good guy trying to save an innocent life and the danger he put himself and family through to save that life.

Historia
Against all odds we have made it into the last half of the 1990s. The Cold War looks solved, Arabs and Jews are talking, confrontation is on the wane. In this new harmony, one discord - what becomes of unemployed terrorists? You can bet they aren't going to retire quietly. Shunned by the Soviets, isolated by Middle Eastern realignment, one cadre hits on a scheme to jump-start the war machine. It's brilliant in its simplicity. With a single act they bring the world to nuclear boil. Jack Ryan and Dan Murray sweat to defuse a cataclysmic response.

intense!
Revisado: 09-23-21
I really loved the book, very intense and will have you on the edge of your seat. Scott Brick is my favorite narrator and really gets you into the book. The build up of the story keeps you hooked and the end is a reward.
The chapters for the nuclear bomb going off alone is terrifying, the break done of every detail and how fast it all happens. it makes you think about the horrors of such a weapon.

Historia
Millions of words have poured forth about man's trip to the moon, but until now few people have had a sense of the most engrossing side of the adventure: namely, what went on in the minds of the astronauts themselves - in space, on the moon, and even during certain odysseys on earth. It is this, the inner life of the astronauts, that Tom Wolfe describes with his almost uncanny empathetic powers that made The Right Stuff a classic.
