This appears to be a good story, but it drags to the point that I cannot care any more! The Octopus is lovely, and Tova is a sympathetic character, but Cameron is difficult to appreciate. It would have been improved by a good editor.

I finished this book, and immediately wanted to listen to it again for all the nuances I may have missed the first time. All the characters are well rounded, even the evil Miss Cavendish. Though I got frustrated with egotistical cats, at this point they are integral to the story. Euan Morton is a fantastic narrator, and Jim Butcher is a world creator. i agree with an earlier reviewer - please don't make us wait too long for the next book!

I've never experienced anything quite like this - the same story, told twice, each time from a different point of view. I thought each of the narrators was excellent, and had very little trouble shifting from Sasha's to Lorn's perspective. The environments were drawn well, the writing excellent. The biggest issue is where is the second book? While I'm waiting, I guess I'll have to listen to this over again.

I had such a good time listening to all three books that I listened twice! Delemhach has a fantastic imagination, and all of the plot strands were tied up nicely. Fin is the best hero ever! I did cry, however :(, so maybe not quite as humorous as advertised. I thought Matthew Wolf did an awesome job with the narration - people from each continent had distinct accents, which is a great touch. The only criticism I have is that the books needed some editing; there were multiple malapropisms. I found them funny, though, so maybe they were intentional.
Altogether a sweet and fantastical read.

I was waiting for this book to be released on Audible, and though it wasn't a long wait, it was worth it. Steve Carlson does a super job as always. This book is darker than the others, and you will need to have read them to really understand it. Mirella is, I think, my favorite character - maybe even more compelling than Adam. Great series!

I've listened to all the Gene Doucette books available on Audible, and this one - like the others - didn't disappoint. It was unique - how could anyone come up with a protagonist who lives five seconds in the future? - and quite satisfying. Steve Carlson is an awesome narrator, I cannot imagine a better voice and delivery for this book.

I was spellbound all the way through this book. Patricia McConnell is an excellent writer - she has several other books about dogs - but this is different. This one is not only about the difficulties one of her dogs experienced, it's about her journey, and how she has overcome the effects of trauma on her psyche and life. Truly an excellent memoir. And the narrator is excellent as well.

What made the experience of listening to Horses Never Lie, 2nd Edition the most enjoyable?

This is the third Mark Rashid book I've listened to and so far none of the narrators has been anyone I'd ever listen to again. I love the books, but really! This narrator pronounces "a" with a long "a" every single time. Does anyone actually do that? I can get used to it (barely), but then he'll mispronounce a word so blatantly that I lose the sense of the sentence.

As to the book itself, I love it, and I think Mr. Rashid deserves a better narrator.

What didn’t you like about Dan Lawson’s performance?

Pretty much everything. Mechanical with very little feeling.

I thought this book was great! I don't generally like ghost stories, but this was an exception. The plot held together, and the characters were realistic. Angela Dawe is a super reader - I think she pegged every character with her voice. Worth listening to more than once.

When I first began to listen, I didn't think I'd like the narrator's voices, but by the time I'd listened to a couple of chapters, I was beginning to like them, and by the end, I was very impressed. I also enjoyed the storyline, crazy as it was, and thought the characters were interesting and well-developed. In fact, I listened to it twice, because I thought I hadn't quite appreciated it enough the first time. Well worth listening to, if you like Jennifer Crusie and fantasy (I loved Dogs and Goddesses and Agnes and the Hitman, so that may give you a clue as to my tastes!)
