cried more than once, listening to what this poor family went through. it's maddening. Love the music, where can I get a copy of the studio music?

I really don't know where to begin with this review. What lingers with me is how two grown adults acting as parents could subject their family to their selfish desires wants and I guess needs. Throughout this whole story, I was so angered at her parents for just abandoning her the way they did. I don't care that it was the 60s and that it was free love and whatever else that came along with it. that was child abuse, child abandonment ,child endangerment.

What I also appreciated in this book was the fact that there was not a lot of detail about the murderers. I, also for the first time actually realized how psychotic Charles Manson really was. He wasn't some sort of mad genius as some proclaimed him to be, he obviously was someone that was out of control in mind, body and spirit. Perhaps wreaking havoc in other's lives and trying to control everything and everyone around him was the only way he knew how to survive. It's clear through this book, that he was so tormented, that darkness was his only true friend.

Kudos to the author for surviving her dark night of the soul phase.
