Nothing new here
Revisado: 03-04-24
There is nothing new in this book. The information is passed off as research, when in fact, all of the recommendations are practices that are either common sense or practices that have been around for decades. What I got out of the book wasn’t worth enduring the sing-song voice of the reader.

Historia
In Atlas of the Heart, Brown takes us on a journey through 87 of the emotions and experiences that define what it means to be human. As she maps the necessary skills and an actionable framework for meaningful connection, she gives us the language and tools to access a universe of new choices and second chances - a universe where we can share and steward the stories of our bravest and most heartbreaking moments with one another in a way that builds connection.

Thought provoking
Revisado: 06-22-22
Great book. Similar to her other books, it delves into specific emotions from a research perspective, defining and clinically observing emotions and responses with examples that drive the points home. Thought provoking. The one thing I didn’t care for was having passages re-read by the author for emphasis. The first few times it worked and I paid close attention, but it became increasingly irritating and repetitive. Tho I didn’t care for some of the delivery, the content was excellent.
