Historia
Young, naive, Samantha Armstrong, can never go back to her pampered life style after being brutally raped by Greg Maston, the accountant for her father’s law firm and close family friend. Fearing she would taint her family’s reputation and disappoint her parents, she chooses not to report the sexual assault. After she trusts Skyler Marks to help her, he takes advantage of her fragile state of mind when she tries to move forward without him to heal and forget her pain. Skyler Marks, the young bright attorney in her father’s law firm, blackmails and stalks her.

This story and especially the lead character of this novel is so… Dumber than a bag of rocks!
Revisado: 01-19-21
To listen to this novel with the lead female character being 17, coming from a family of privilege and going through what she goes through in the first four chapters of this book... Not one Aspect of the story rings true. By the middle of chapter 4, when the lead character could not figure out how she actually had the upper hand, I couldn’t waste anymore of my time on this. And as for the narrator- she tried her best to spin this story into something worth listening to… But more importantly, the narrator’s voice was way more mature and polished to be perpetrating a 17 year old girl

Historia
Cassie McDowell’s life in 1980s Minnesota seems perfectly wholesome. She lives on a farm, loves school, and has a crush on the nicest boy in class. Yes, there are her parents’ strange parties and their parade of deviant guests, but she’s grown accustomed to them. All that changes when someone comes hunting in Lilydale. One by one, local boys go missing. One by one, they return changed - violent, moody, and withdrawn. What happened to them becomes the stuff of shocking rumors. The accusations of who’s responsible grow just as wild, and dangerous town secrets start to surface.
