All My Knotted-Up Life is a beautifully crafted portrait of resilience and survival, a poignant reminder of God’s enduring faithfulness, and proof positive that if we ever truly took the time to hear people’s full stories . . . we’d all walk around slack-jawed.

This is a fascinating read or listen.
The story is as much about the main character's struggle with a traumatic brain injury and the resulting personality change as it is the desire to find out what happened to her best friend.

Entertaining Cosy! Love the Characters!
Revisado: 02-02-21
The narrator is fantastic! She captured the accent perfectly.
The main character development and relationships brought me right back to my southern roots and family expectations.
The death threats were creative and the storyline kept me guessing but to be honest I was just as interested in the handsome detective.
I am definitely reading more of this series.

September 1909, and Lady Hardcastle and her maid, Florence, have been invited to Lord Riddlethorpe’s country estate for a week of motor racing and parties. They both agree that it sounds like a perfectly charming holiday. Historia
Spring, 1909, and Lady Hardcastle, amateur sleuth and all-round eccentric, is enjoying a well-deserved rest. But a week after a trip to the cattle market, Spencer Caradine, a local farmer, turns up dead in the pub, face-down in his beef and mushroom pie. Once again, it is up to Lady Hardcastle and her maid, Florence, to solve the case. Armed with wit and whimsy, not to mention Florence’s mean right hook, the pair set out to discover what really happened and why. Was it poison or just ill luck?

Entertaining but a bit scattered
Revisado: 01-11-21
Enjoyable but seemed to struggle with too many crime trails spreading thin the storyline resulting in two investigations thoroughly involving the reader while a rush of explanation was needed at the end of the book to wrap up another.
I do enjoy the narrator and the main characters. Hoping the next book is as exciting as the first.

Light-hearted, Entertaining Cosy
Revisado: 01-08-21
The characters are witty and endearing. The narrator is excellent; each character is distinct. The story progresses as a walk through the wood at times slowing to gaze around before continuing on point. Once I adjusted to the author's rhythm, I found this read most pleasurable. Great for a day with many small snatches of time to listen.

It’s the perfect time to curl up in front of a crackling fire with these wintry whodunits from the legendary Agatha Christie. The narration is very good and most of the stories are intriguing. The Parker Pyne short was annoying. Fortunately the enjoyment of the other stories far outweighed that bit of regret.
