Historia
Leonard Ravenhill's call to revival is as timely now as it was when it was published over 50 years ago. The message is fearless and often radical as he expounds on the disparity between the New Testament church and the church today. Why Revival Tarries contains the heart of his message. AW Tozer called Ravenhill "a man sent from God" who "appeared at [a] critical moment in history", just as the Old Testament prophets did. Included are questions for group and individual study.

Incredible book by a man of God!
Revisado: 08-11-21
This is Brother Ravenhill’s magnum opus. It is a powerful wake up call to the sleepy, powerlessly, pale contemporary church to return to its apostolic, post-Pentecost beginning. This review is based upon the audible version. The audio is good, the text reader does so with passion and so makes it an interesting read, and the content is second to none. If you are burdened that something is not right in contemporary American Christianity, read this book and find the reason for your burden and an answer for what we must do.

Very interesting and thought provoking
Revisado: 07-02-21
Upon the first time through, I know I’ve missed a lot. However, what I’ve grasped so far has me really thinking about how I view Christianity and how my witness cannot be a simplistic message. I have to do the hard work of thinking through the contemporary story and seeing where the gospel of the kingdom agrees with and opposes that story. But not only must I do it on my own, but also through the context of the local church. I’m looking forward to going through this book again.

How all theology should be!
Revisado: 04-30-18
Tozer communicates solid evangelical theology on the attributes of God in a compelling, thoughts provoking way. Rather than speaking to the mind, he writes to the heart, through the mind. His presentation of theology brings you to the place of worship. He stretches your soul as well as your mind. This is what all theology should be--intellectually stimulating but leaving you before the throne of God!

In Finding God in the Waves, "Science Mike" draws on his personal experience to tell the unlikely story of how science led him back to faith. Among other revelations, we learn what brain scans reveal about what happens when we pray; how fundamentalism affects the psyche; and how God is revealed not only in scripture but in the night sky, in subatomic particles, and in us.

I appreciate the honesty, integrity, and humility of Science Mike as he takes the reader through his difficult transitions from Christianity to atheism and back again. Loved to hear the book read in Mike's own voice. Highly recommended!

Historia
A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C.S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old Devil to his nephew, Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.

Wonderfully creative satire!
Revisado: 09-03-16
Lewis combines the doctrines of demonology, sin, and temptation along with the then contemporary social criticism through wit and satire. Read together with John Owen's book The Mortification of Sin, the Chrisitian I can be more ably defend against sin and temptation.
This audio version is very well done. The production is top notch. Definitely recommended!

Historia
C. S. Lewis's dazzling allegory about Heaven and Hell - and the chasm fixed between them - is one of his most brilliantly imaginative tales, where we discover that the gates of Hell are locked from the inside. In a dream, the narrator boards a bus on a drizzly afternoon in Hell and embarks on an incredible voyage to Heaven. Anyone in Hell is invited on board, and anyone may remain in Heaven if he or she so chooses. But do we really want to live in Heaven?
