Worst book I’ve listened to on audible. The contemp for anything and everything that didn’t cater to his opinion of how life on the Camino should be is palpable. What an entitled, self important oaf. Virtually unlistenable.

Amazing story telling about one of the most important times in our history

I have such an appreciation for these heroes of the mighty eighth. I volunteer at the 390th Memorial Museum with 102 year old Colonel Richard Bushong who flew with the 390th that flew alongside the 100th. Everything here matches up with Colonel Bushong’s recollections of his time flying out of England during WWII.

So Bad

I never leave reviews but I feel compelled to this time. I am really surprised by so many really good reviews. I am a big fan of Hilary Swank so I tried to finish this but did not want to waste the last 40 minutes to the end. Really hard to believe story with mediocre dialog and acting. Wish I could find something good to say.

The characters could have been developed so much more. Felt like the last few chapters were rushed to things up without including details that would have made the story much more interesting.

I guess I should be mad at myself but......

I was excited when I saw the new (what I thought) was a new unabridged John Grisham book on audible last night. Immediately bought it for one credit same amount as all the other books. I was shocked just now after listening for under two hours that the book suddenly ended. It was basically a short story as a prequel to the previous book Rogue Lawyer.

Very disappointed I wasted a credit on something the length of a podcast. Shame on me I guess.

If you don't mind wasting a credit on something that lasts less than 2 hours then the story and narration are good.

What a great read! The character developement was one of the best I have read for a long time. Grabs a hold from the beginning with so many twists and turns. Exciting from beginning to end.

This will go down as one of my all time favorites. The Naration was perfect for Lily and Sue Monk Kidd has a gift of giving the reader/listener the feeling they may walk right into the story if feels so real.

She has a true fan in me......and my husband!
