Historia
When you're the best at what you do, it's not always easy to walk away. Nathan McBride was retired. The trained Marine sniper and covert CIA operative had put the violence of his former life behind him. But not anymore. A deep-cover FBI agent has disappeared along with one ton of powerful Semtex explosive, enough to unleash a disaster of international proportions. The U.S. government has no choice but to coax Nathan out of retirement.

Very Good
Revisado: 06-27-22
good story expertly narrated. Nathan is my new Jack Reacher. with dick hill narrating it sounds just like Jack reacher. if some of the padding had been cut out to streamline the story and focus on the main theme then I would have given it 5 stars. the last few Jack reacher stories have been poorly narrated and very weak but now Nathan Mcbride can fill that gap.

Historia
It started with bright lights; a new medical technology, promising to eradicate all human ills. History of blood clots? Cholesterol clogging up the old ticker? There was a nanobot for that. It wasn’t cheap of course, and everyone knew that new technology had bugs in it. But hey, why not let the rich be the guinea pigs for once? Fast-forward a year, and the one percent began dying en masse. The nanobots had evolved to view aging as a virus and were reacting by shutting down the host.

Across the country women are being murdered by a killer who leaves no evidence, no fatal wounds, no signs of struggle, and no clues to a motive. They are, truly, perfect crimes. In fact, the only thing that links the victims is the man they all knew: Jack Reacher.

good story but spoiled by the narration
Revisado: 04-06-19
good story but spoiled by the narration; it is truly appalling. bring back dick hill. how this narrator got this job is beyond me; don't they do any quality control?
my only criticism of the story was that the murderer, at every opportunity, stated she was the half sister of a victim and not her sister. this telegraphed to me she was the perpetrator, the first time she said it.

could be so much better
Revisado: 02-11-19
The story ideas are good but the sex/romance scenes are tedious and the dialogue in them is infantile. Cut down on the sex and get someone else to write them or just cut them all together; they paint the main character as a total wanker.

Max Tegmark leads us on an astonishing journey through past, present and future, and through the physics, astronomy, and mathematics that are the foundation of his work, most particularly his hypothesis that our physical reality is a mathematical structure and his theory of the ultimate multiverse. In a dazzling combination of both popular and groundbreaking science, he not only helps us grasp his often mind-boggling theories, but he also shares with us some of the often surprising triumphs and disappointments that have shaped his life as a scientist.

Flawed Book Strategy
Revisado: 12-01-18
Cut out all the personal anecdotes, references and stories which are lame and come accross as wholly contrived; focused purely on the physics this would have been a good book but all the anecdotes etc., made it frustrating and boring.

Revisado: 11-06-18
This was so dull and slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
I was disappointed with last one too. Also bring back Dick Hill.
I have moved onto Nathan McBride; these are read by Dick Hill and are what Jack Reacher used to be.

A Book Not About Spying
Revisado: 04-18-18
This guy was so deeply embedded he never achieved anything as a spy; he never stole any secrets. Its just a sad life story about a failed spy. He spurned the KGB to stay with his daughter he loved so much but by doing so happily abandoned his son and wife in East Germany. He is a poor example of a man.
The narration was as dull, bland and lack luster as the book.

there was nothing new here. it's all been said before and much better. his voice becomes grating after an hour so. it's a reasonable summary of kenneny,s adult life and time office but it doesn't add anything to the debate or answere any of the unanswered questions.
