Historia
Zoey Ashe wakes up every day feeling like she’s trying to steer a battleship while tied to the propeller. The twenty-three-year-old heiress to a criminal empire is navigating a futuristic world of high-tech liars and cutthroats, forced to learn the rules of a devious game she never asked to play. Now she’s facing a crisis that is both bigger and stranger than all that came before: The gleaming new city of Tabula Ra$a is hosting its massive annual music festival, which every year precedes the equally massive annual drunken riot.

A fun, funny and thoughtful Zoey Adventure
Revisado: 11-11-23
Another wonderful entry into the Zoey saga..I have once read that Jason Pargin writes books that are philosophical treatises couched in gonzo/ubsured situations. I always feel smarter after reading his books. Heck I learned about the thought experiment referred to as the "Ship of Theseus" from the first pages in John Dies at the end, his involved an axe. You won't be let down by "Zoey is too drunk for this dystopia" from the fantastic plot, the amazing characters, and the authors astute insights!

Historia
Cal Sounder is a detective working for the police on certain very sensitive cases. So when he’s called in to investigate a homicide at a local apartment, he’s surprised by the routineness of it all. But when he arrives on scene, Cal soon learns that the victim—Roddy Tebbit, an otherwise milquetoast techie—is well over seven feet tall. And although he doesn’t look a day over thirty, he is ninety-one years old. Tebbit is a Titan—one of this dystopian, near-future society’s genetically altered elites. And this case is definitely Cal’s thing.

A great world and wonderful narration
Revisado: 05-25-23
I love a good mystery and the setting is interesting. The author puts a cool spin on the noir novel without over doing it, feels like a real lived in world. Davis Brooks does a fantastic job and I look forward hearing more of his performances in the future.

December, 1959: The Korean War rages on. Protesting the bloody conflict, a Korean-American man by the name of William Yang suddenly blows himself up in the middle of a Los Angeles department store just before Christmas, which leads the U.S. government to reopen the internment camps used during World War II. President Joseph McCarthy's America has never been more on edge, paranoid, and above all, dangerous.

A wonderful continuation of this amazing counterfactual series. Joseph Mccarthy is president and America is kept in fear. Morris Baker is wonderful character, a man struggling with his past. This title is worth your credit and more importantly your time.

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

Historia
At first, it looks like a disease. An epidemic that spreads through no known means, driving its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. But the force that’s sweeping the world is no pathogen. It’s just the first shock wave, unleashed by a stunning discovery - and what’s in jeopardy is not our minds but the very fabric of time itself. In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is closing in on the truth - and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith is unaware that she alone holds the key to this mystery...and the tools for fighting back.

Historia
When an experiment to study quantum uncertainty goes spectacularly wrong, physics student Bill Rustad and his friends find that they have accidentally created an inter-dimensional portal. They connect to Outland - an alternate Earth with identical geology, but where humans never evolved. The group races to establish control of the portal before the government, the military, or evildoers can take it away. Then everything changes when the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts in an explosion large enough to destroy civilization and kill half the planet.

Historia
War heroes aren't usually called out of semi-retirement and sent to the far reaches of the galaxy for a routine investigation. So when Colonel Carl Butler answers the call from an old and powerful friend, he knows it's something big - and he's not being told the whole story. A high councilor's son has gone MIA out of Cappa Base, the space station orbiting a battle-ravaged planet. The young lieutenant had been wounded and evacuated - but there's no record of him having ever arrived at hospital command.

Heard RC Bray was going to read this book and I had to give it a chance. Now I will look forward to more books by Michael Mammay! Col. Butler is a well thought out character, a man with strengths, faults, and a life time of experiences. I like to think of it as a Mil/SciFi/Noir.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes and I have
Any additional comments?
The first Christopher Farnsworth book I listened to was killfile and I have been hooked ever since burning through every single one of his book on audible.
This is a great thriller! It really makes you think about the social media world at large, while providing butt kicking action.
