Just as I recall

I was in my late teens or early 20s. It took a few hours but I read it all in one sitting at Penrose library in downtown Colorado Springs. Next day I decided to check it so I could read it again. And again. I didn't attempt to memorize it but repetition of key phrases embedded them into my hippocampus and I felt no need to revisit.
Now some thirty years later I rediscover all of William S. Burroughs in audio and mostly free.

User friendly format.
CONS:
Listeners are cautioned to beware that this is not a Master Class. Why would you expect a world dominating evil overlord to allow you to master villainy?
Nonetheless I have interpolated a set of fundamental principles I can build upon to enhance my mischief making and ensure all my gain is ill gotten. I would have liked more guidance on finding my nemesis. It is so difficult for me to meet people. I mean people who have a life expectancy above room temperature.

Entertaining if predictable

I always enjoy the Audible Originals dramatizations. This is no exception.
The stories are okay. It seems to me that they follow standard horror fiction tropes (eg: curse spell, child ghost), but that is not a bad thing. It probably made them easier to listen to.
I have never read anything by M R James, but I now intend to.
