Historia
What a delight it is to finally be able to enjoy a simple meal again! I have been in the throes of morning sickness for the last few months as Darcy and I prepare to welcome a brand-new addition to our little family. Now that I am feeling better, I have realized I am dreadfully bored! It seems that all my nearest and dearest are off leading their own busy lives while I sit at home and attempt to train our two adorably naughty puppies. Fun as it may be, it is hard not to long for a little adventure, a change of pace, before my true confinement begins when the baby comes.

Narration is terrible
Revisado: 12-02-22
Not sure why but the narration seems very different from the earlier books. I gave up listening.

Historia
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

One way sex, seriously
Revisado: 09-01-22
The sex in this story is supposed to be off the charts. Spoiler alert. He did all the giving, she missed giving her share. Read between the lines.
Another reviewer said the sex wasn't that good. Have to agree.

Awful. Forget this one.
Revisado: 12-09-21
The first book in this series was pretty good and I got sucked in. Each book left me hanging so I had to keep on. However, this one was just plan sadistic and not believeable. Looking back, I wish I didn't start.

Boring rehash
Revisado: 11-23-20
This book was a rehash of book one. Very predictable and a waste of 8 hours of listening. Jeffrey Archer has written some incredible novels. This isn't one of them.

Historia
Frances Wynn, the American-born Countess of Harleigh, enjoys more freedom as a widow than she did as a wife. After an obligatory year spent mourning her philandering husband, Reggie, she puts aside her drab black gowns, leaving the countryside and her money-grubbing in-laws behind. With her young daughter in tow, Frances rents a home in Belgravia and prepares to welcome her sister, Lily, arriving from New York - for her first London season.

Wish I read this instead of listening to it
Revisado: 12-30-18
I enjoyed the story but the narration was one long run-on sentence. There were times I didn't know which character was talking and hardly any breaks between thoughts. I am looking forward to the next book, hopefully with a new narrator.

The worst book in the series.
Revisado: 08-19-18
All of the Maggie Hope stories have been excellent. I was looking forward to this latest one and was disappointed. This was really simple, not very believable and barely held my interest.
Even the characters we have enjoyed were missing from most of the story.
Reread Mrs Roosevelt's Confidante. 10 times better.

Historia
The President is coming to London, but not to an entirely warm welcome. A fanatical mullah is offering a blessing to anyone who will assassinate the President, and though most London Muslims think the mullah has crossed the line, a few think otherwise. Urgently, Sean Dillon, General Charles Ferguson, and the rest of the small band known as the “Prime Minister’s private army” are called in, augmented by an extra-ordinary new recruit, an intelligence captain and Afghan war hero named Sara Gideon.

Getting a little hard to believe
Revisado: 02-14-12
I have been reading all of Stuart Woods' books for year and the last two seem very thin and hard to believe. Nothing close to the real world.
He had all of his characters in this one, the President, Will Lee and his wife, the CIA director, Holly Barker, Teddy Fay and still, not very exciting and not at all believable,
Spoiler alert! The guy was investigating murders and slept with all of the suspects. Except for one and Dino slept with her. The character is a pig, And supposedly Holly Barker didn't care. Really?
Go back and read some of the earlier books with Will Lee. There was a lot more going on.
I have to say, the highlight was Tony Roberts.

Not typical of Stuart Woods
Revisado: 11-04-11
Stuart Woods has been writing entertaining novels for a lot of years and I have enjoyed his characters but this one, ouch. Real people don't talk or act like this.
And the thinnest plot of any of his book that I have read or listened to.
