I'm so grateful for Miss Brown's research and dedication to the healing process. I have listened to this and several other audible works of hers. in fact some of them numerous times and I'm always learning something new. I feel as if she's my personal therapist in friend LOL Highly recommend her work. Although I do enjoy hearing Ms. Brown read her own work, this narrator was enjoyable as well. two thumbs up all around

The terror and pain endured by the soldiers of WW11 was impressively descriptive throughout the book. I often had to break, pausing to really process the details of what was just told. But not long as I also found myself anxious, needing to return to learn how and who would survive the next brutality. It's funny, gross, shocking, turn your stomach inspiring story. The reader's presentation was wonderful and ovations to the talent that captured the soul of each character.
