Story of my Life is a cute, predictable rom-com. It was an enjoyable lesson with likable characters.

Woke and too long

Roadblock after roadblock for the main characters who were in a very unhealthy relationship. I’m sorry but if the love of your life got your best friend pregnant and you caught them sleeping together, living together etc… it would absolutely not work out. I did like the author’s style of writing with the dialogue and interviews.

Great book

I like the fact that this author does not try to get political with her writing. She also does not try to teach you a lesson which is refreshing. This book kept my attention throughout the entire story. The author does a good job of adding realistic twist to the story. I hate when authors add outlandish twist that don’t even make sense. Great book!

What’s it out the most? Probably the ending. I thought this book was pretty good and an enjoyable lesson. It wasn’t my favorite Freida McFadden book but I liked it.

Woke author pushing politics

I won’t purchase from this author again. Three things that stood out to me. 1) FMC was pregnant and not married. The author had to make sure the “judgemental lady” at the office was wearing a gleaming cross around her neck. 2) FMC doesn’t want to find out the sex of the baby bc she wants the baby to determine its own gender. 3) the author wants to throw in the use of pronouns many times in the book. Insert eye roll. Can authors just write a good book without getting political? I means seriously! I read multiple books per week for pleasure and if I wanted to get political I would turn on the Fox news or CNN. There’s no need for authors to try to teach lessons to the reader.

Silly

I was barely able to finish this book. I almost stopped it several time but thought maybe it would get better. Sadly the writing is silly and immature. I have no idea how it has decent reviews.

Really enjoyed this book.

I really enjoyed this book. The author knitted powerful messages to women and girls throughout the book. The ending was surprising, yet beautiful. True love isn’t cookie cutter.

Redundant - dragged on and on

I liked the first book but the second book was the same old story seven times in a row with each bride. I felt like it was Groundhog Day. The story was hard to follow and annoying. The narrator did a decent job except on Cleo’s accent. I know a lot is people from Louisiana and they sound nothing like Cleo.
