I think this will be my last mafia book to read our listen to. wow. just wow. why do authors write such weak women who can't defend themselves at all! another woman who just smacks her weak little hand at a man and then whines and cries. so, why is it that it's fun to write these type of women? holy guacamole, it's a shame, seriously. I could get past the BAD narrators, but really? the FMC is weak in every sense of the word. I'm at chapter 22, and all I keep doing is yelling at the FMC about how stupid she is. All the men make decisions for her she cries a little and then gives in! I'm not a feminist, far from it, but I know most women are tougher than this.

btw, I don't normally leave bad reviews, but this weak woman earned it.

I'm finding it difficult to finish this book

Edit, I finally made it through the book. it got better at chapter 22.

I liked the first book. I don't understand why a girl raised on the run, never took self-defense, or learned to protect herself. this book does nothing but show us how weak and stupid Shawn is. seriously, I'm not sure if I want to waste my time to finish this book. I might just skip to the last hour to find out what happens. I hardly ever write a bad review, but I felt that others needed to know.

I turned this book off

I was looking forward to listening to this book, but within the first minute of listening to it, I changed my mind. I'm all about inclusion and the right to be who we are, however, the Introduction to this book was nothing but political. no matter if I'm a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, I do not want politics in a book that isn't about politics. it's like going to see a comedian on the stage and he or she only talks about politics. it's not what I signed up for.

This book was well written and VERY FUNNY.

WARNING! Do not go to the store while listening to this book with earbuds! There were So many LAUGH OUT LOUD moments in this book, that I found myself being stared at while grabbing a box of cereal and laughing my A off!! I LOVE this book and I plan on listening to it again soon!

wow! I just finished my first reading of this book and it blew me away! Just when you think you have an idea of where the book is going, BOOM!! You're hit in the head and everything changes! GREAT BOOK and so VERY WELL written!!

WORTH listening to MULTIPLE TIMES!!

This story hit home with me on several personal levels. I worked hard to change my life, by myself as a young girl. later, I met my husband of almost 25yrs. He too had to (and sometimes still has to help me) help me get through my past. he also adopted my son and has raised him as his own. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK. if o could write the story of my life, it'd run close to this. had it not been for my grandma, I wouldn't have lived to 44yrs old. Thank you for this book.

Shouldn't Have Switched Narriators

I couldn't make it through the book with the new narrator. Don't get me wrong his voice is fine, just not for the characters in this book. RC Bray did the first one and knocked it out of the park. Should have stuck with him.
