This is a playful and engaging book!

Will Wheaton performs this story wonderfully! The story has a pleasing absurdity to it! I was looking for an upbeat escape and this was it!

Historia
The future of Anyar is being woven with threads spread across the planet. Those myriad threads contribute to a tapestry whose final mosaic remains obscure. An enigmatic alien race scattered five human castaways across the planet Anyar, far enough apart that they should never meet. The planet itself is a mystery. How is it already inhabited by humans when they did not evolve there? Castaway Joseph Colsco, now known as Yozef Kolsco, gradually finds himself at the center of resistance to an empire with ambitions to rule the world by any means necessary: Narthon.

Well Paced and Dramatically Punctuated
Revisado: 02-11-25
For me, this was a worthy installment of this saga. The writing remained engaging and the pivotal characters and themes were represented with timely pacing. It was a welcome escape. I thought the ending was "just right!"

Historia
Social media influencer and podcast host April Ajoy wouldn’t have called herself a Christian Nationalist when she performed her original song “America Say Jesus” on the Jim Bakker show, or when she participated in Jesus Marches across America, or when she posted cringe-worthy videos on YouTube to campaign for Mitt Romney. April just considered herself a good Christian: faithful, Republican, and determined to make America a Christian nation once again.

Fascinating recount
Revisado: 01-04-25
The author's conversational writing style went easy on the ears. Her sharing of her journey was fascinating. The book is both entertaining and stunning. Her attention to detail and her references to scripture helped to frame her story. I would be interested in reading a follow up book by the author.

Creative premise
Revisado: 07-06-24
I enjoyed the premise of the story and Nick's character development. The gradually evolving corporate/government intrigue was thought provoking. More romantic friction regarding main characters would've been interesting. I listened to this book for some escapism and it provided the desirable distraction!

They tried to kill or capture Yozef Kolsko. The possibility that Caedellium could have peaceful years going forward is refuted. The key is bringing down Narthon. But how? Caedellium is too small, despite innovations by Yozef Kolsko (Joseph Colsco) and Mark Kaldwel (Caldwell), humans cast away on the planet Anyar. Allies are needed. Campaigns to be planned. Risks to be taken. For Yozef Kolsko, it means assuming roles he never imagined or believed himself capable. Anyar will never be the same.

A worthy installment to this series!
Revisado: 01-03-23
This book in outstanding and exceeded my expectations. I wanted a great audio book to listen to during the Christmas/Holiday Season. This was very engaging. I confess, my military background contributed to my enjoyment due to the many tactical descriptions in the storyline. I, also, like the way different threads in the plot interwove and converged. This book was an Epic contribution to the series. I look forward to the next!

Creative plot.

The voice actors were captivating for me. Having a main character with Alzheimers disease was emotionally engaging, but not too much so. The plot gained momentum from beginning to end. I found myself listening for longer periods of time in the second half as the story became increasingly gripping!

Great story from an authentic perspective!
Revisado: 09-02-22
I, greatly, enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I liked the idea of reading a work about space flight written by an astronaut. I enjoyed the characters and the premise. Admittedly, I'm a "boomer" and the Cold War has been imprinted on my life. Since the story is set during the Cold War, this enhanced my experience of the story. This book is true to itself. I recommend it!

Very entertaining! Don't compare with Bobiverse.
Revisado: 08-10-22
This was a fun and entertaining audio book. I don't see it as meant to be as robust as the Bobiverse, which allowed me to enjoy the story for it's own style. Just there are great "popcorn movies," I would call this an enjoyable "popcorn audiobook"
I did "catch" Ray & Dennis borrowing Guppy's (Bobiverse) signature "Acknowledged" reply a couple of times - not sure if it was intentional.
If you're looking for some fun, lighthearted, escapism this is a great audiobook.

Historia
At first, Logan Ramsay isn’t sure if anything’s different. He just feels a little . . . sharper. Better able to concentrate. Better at multitasking. Reading a bit faster, memorizing better, needing less sleep. But before long, he can’t deny it: Something’s happening to his brain. To his body. He’s starting to see the world, and those around him—even those he loves most—in whole new ways. The truth is, Logan’s genome has been hacked. And there’s a reason he’s been targeted for this upgrade.

I found this to be a very engaging story with a good performance by the narrator. The dystopian setting has creative features. I like how the characters have a strong connection to the state of affairs. I wanted a enjoyable diversion and this was great.

We are all addicted in some way. When we learn to identify our addiction, embrace our brokenness, and surrender to God, we begin to bring healing to ourselves and our world. In Breathing Under Water, Franciscan Father Richard Rohr shows how the gospel principles in the Twelve Steps can free anyone from any addiction from an obvious dependence on alcohol or drugs to the more common but less visible addiction that we all have to sin.

Intense Spiritual Exploration
Revisado: 11-02-21
I connected with the author on many levels. This book goes beyond scriptural associations and ponders practical analysis from the perspective of the author as a spiritual facilitator.
This is an audio book I will listen to multiple times.
