Don't think just listen!

I was eyeing this for a bit wondering if it would be worth my time.

I should have just just downloaded the book and listened to it. This book is amazing! I'm a bit sad it isn't a TV series to be honest. It would be an instant hit.

Stop reading this and start listening to the book. You will not regret it!

Obviously if Brandon Sanderson touched it then strap in for a ride! He also had a co-author and from what I can see Steven Michael Bohls was outstanding. As usual, Macleod Andrews was impeccable with the narration. So dive in with zero hesitation fellow needs!

Fantastic writing. Amazing characters. Incredible narration. Epic book!

Let's start by stating I have over 600 books in my library. The majority of them Fantasy, SCI-FI, and a smattering of military books. I sift through Audible quite often trying to find another great book. There are many haha

The reviews on the main page made me question whether I'd enjoy this book. So I didn't buy it right away. However, something about it kept pulling me back to it over and over again. I finally pulled the trigger on it.....and I was sucked into it day after day until I completed it.

The book is not generic, it has emotion to it, which is becoming more and more rare. I was emotionally invested in the people. The magic system was unique and not overwhelming. The author definitely spent a lot of time and care on this world.

I would 100% buy this book again. I encourage all others to give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Outstanding!

If you're this far in I'm sure you already know that these books are fantastic!

Chris Fox does a great job with his world building and character interactions. The wealth of lore to still explore is vast. His characters can be serious and show emotion appropriately in different situations but they can also be hilarious and inappropriate which is refreshing. I love the recap section of the books he writes. I remember story's rather well but I always listen to the recap because of how entertaining he makes them.

Ryan Kennard Burke is one of the better narrators on Audible in my opinion. He is fantastic at conveying the feelings and emotions of the characters. He is definitely not monotone when reading. He is great at switching back and forth to different voices as well.

I can't express enough appreciation for both the author and narrators hard work. Keep em coming!

Story is okay. Narrator is annoying.

I listen to these books at work and I decided to listen to every Star Wars novel in chronological order. I can honestly say this is the first narrator I've been annoyed by. He doesn't pronounce the names of places correctly, he made Han Solo sound like the biggest tool bag ever, he has suuuuper long pauses, and I can hear the spit in his mouth sometimes...I thought very seriously about skipping this book just because of him.
