Historia
Only the most desperate colonists dare to make a new home on Hellhole. Reeling from a recent asteroid impact, tortured with horrific storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, and churning volcanic eruptions, the planet is a dumping ground for undesirables, misfits, and charlatans…but also a haven for dreamers and independent pioneers. Against all odds, an exiled general named Adolphus has turned Hellhole into a place of real opportunity for the desperate colonists who call the planet their home.

great story
Revisado: 03-31-13
If you could sum up Hellhole in three words, what would they be?
Many twists and turns just what you would expect from Herbert and Anderson
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
fantastic as usual

Historia
Each year, the magicians of Imardin gather to purge the city streets of vagrants. They know that no ordinary low-life can oppose them. But their protective shield is not as impenetrable as they think. Somea, angry and outraged by the treatment of her family and friends, throws a stone at the shield, putting all her rage behind it. She is amazed when it sails unrestricted through the barrier and knocks a magician unconscious.

A great fun listen
Revisado: 10-30-05
I enjoyed this book from begining to end fun story and great reader. I also wonder what happened to book two and three? I guess you could liken this book to the swords of shannara series. You could say that Somea did a lot of running and hiding but in doing so she met many of the characters needed to expand on the series. Good fun, try it!

Imagine it were possible to bring the characters from a book to life. Not like when you listen to an audiobook with such enchantment that the characters seem to jump off the pages and into your bedroom...but for real. Imagine they could actually climb out of the pages and into our world. Then imagine if those characters brought their world into ours.

The reader of this tale was right on and a pleasure to listen to. The story itself is a must read for all book lovers everywhere. If you really love books and can enter the world of your story then you cannot help but to smile at Eleanor and enter this world of fiction.

A Great Ride
Revisado: 08-23-05
Big brother is watching and their is nothing to be afraid of! This is just a book like 1984 but with more action and suspense. I thought the premise up to date but it really didn't matter. This was just a fun book to read. Thank you Mr. Twelve Hawks, keep up the good work.

Enchanting
Revisado: 07-27-05
A simple, purely pleasurable story of mystery and love of nature and of mankind in all our differences. Reminds me of a simple tale called I Heard The Owl Call My Name. The reader told this story well and someday I will listen to this one again.

Hidden Empire
Revisado: 03-29-05
Imaginative, fun and ejoyable. Yes more of the action is in the next two books yet I found this a great listen. If you like Dune, or Lord of the Rings or Dan Dimmons Hyperion then this book is for you. The next two books Forest of stars and Horizon Storms have more action but mostly they are about different life forms, their survival and misunderstanding of each other. Sound Familiar. I loved everything about this book but I also like science fiction.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

love the story
Revisado: 02-05-04
George R.R. Martin is a fantastic story teller. The bad guys do good things. Important people are murdered off. The good guys do terrible things. It is more akin to real life. I too would of preferred a different reader. The person who read the Harry Potter series comes to mind. Anyway it is far to good a story to pass up. More mature than Tolkien and faster paced than Jordan.
Don't pass this series up.
