Historia
Ten-year-old Annemarie Johansen and her best friend Ellen Rosen often think of life before the war. It's now 1943, and their life in Copenhagen is filled with school, food shortages, and the Nazi soldiers marching through town. When the Jews of Denmark are "relocated," Ellen moves in with the Johansens and pretends to be one of the family. Soon Annemarie is asked to go on a dangerous mission to save Ellen's life.

Amazing awesome book read it in one gulp
Revisado: 07-07-20
I like stories about world war ii and this one was designed for children, but I'm sure it would also be interesting to listen to by adults too, as the story features main human attitudes which were conducted by people during that very complicated time.

He knows a lot of big words, but he doesn't know where babies come from. He's never heard of a stork, but he plans to be a bird when he grows up. He's Superfudge, otherwise known as Farley Drexel Hatcher. And, according to his older brother, Peter, the biggest pain invented. Among other things.

Historia
Ivan is an easygoing gorilla. Living at the Exit 8 Big Top Mall and Video Arcade, he has grown accustomed to humans watching him through the glass walls of his domain. He rarely misses his life in the jungle. In fact, he hardly ever thinks about it at all. Instead, Ivan thinks about TV shows he's seen and about his friends Stella, an elderly elephant, and Bob, a stray dog. But mostly Ivan thinks about art and how to capture the taste of a mango or the sound of leaves with color and a well-placed line.

Historia
An unlikely friendship. A dangerous voyage. A story about what it means to be human. Humans went extinct 30 years ago. Now the world is ruled by machines. And 12-year-old robot XR_935 is just fine with that. Without humans around, there is no war, no pollution, no crime. Every member of society has a purpose. Everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Until the day XR discovers something impossible. Until the day XR discovers a 12-year-old human. A funny, adventurous and poignant story set in a world ruled by robots.

Amazing and compelling story
Revisado: 05-09-20
The story forces you to keep reading as thrilling events appear in every following chapter, which keeps your curiosity tightened. However, I consider the culmination of the story is too short and a bit childish. And one thing seems illogical to me how people by living in bunkers for 30 years had not tried to find other survived humans. Despite aforementioned minor illogical details, I definitely recommend this book to not only adolescents but adults to read.

compelling story but the culmination is flat
Revisado: 05-05-20
I really enjoyed listening to Bacon's stories and this one is as amazing as others, but I think it the ending of this story could have been more complicated than it was.

Historia
Zero is just one of 20,000 people aboard a spaceship bound for a new planet set to be colonized. The journey is over a century long but luckily, everyone is in stasis, so they’ll be safe and sound asleep during the trip. Everyone that is, except for Zero, whose pod has malfunctioned, waking him up a hundred years early. His initial excitement in roaming the ship alone quickly turns to a heart-stopping interstellar adventure when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and take the colonizers hostage.

great story but seems too childish
Revisado: 05-01-20
The beginning of the story is attracting but ways of how two kids defeated pirates and protected spacecraft from asteroids appeared too childish to me. However, I guess this book would be adorable for kids of recommended ages.
