great biography on Mark Twain told thru the fascinating lens of food.

superb story telling performance by the cast.

material was solid. not too detailed to bore you. just enough to keep you entertained.

I personally had a hard time with narrators voice and tempo. luckily, the tempo adjuster switch solved that problem for me!

on the whole, thumbs up!

Cool account of Pres. Garfield / Bad narration

History on the events leading up to and surrounding Pres Garfield's assassination was interesting to learn about. It was a rather light story though, but so was his presidency (only six months in office) before he was assassinated.

The main irritation with this novel for me was the narrator taking on different voices to portray the various people in the storyline. Unfortunately, there were too many voices he needed to do, and he started recycling them. I began to cringe every time he would go into another voice/accent. Eventually i would fast-forward thru those parts.

It *very much* took away from the story; it did not add to it.

The history on this brief Presidency (about 20 years after the Civil War) was neat to learn about it and how he unified the nation. I also liked learning about other facets of life that were taking place in America during that time: i.e, Alexander Graham Bell's telephone discovery and the scientific discoveries surrounding sepsis.

a phenomenal account of CSA Gen. TJ Jackson

Reads like an exciting historical novel.
Chapters alternate between the personality and morality of the man, and his battlefield accounts.
This Yankee book lover has gained a new understanding and sense of respect from listening to this book about this Confederate General. I carried this audio book with me while visiting battlefields and historical monuments in VA and MD and WVa, which really brought the war accounts alive for me, and helped portray a deeper perspective on the man TJ Jackson.
This is a must listen for any Civil War aficionado.

great story for animal & nature lovers

excellent story telling. equal parts history/politics/environmental rights coupled with a great first hand account of all the actors involved in cataloguing and tracking the beloved Yellowstone wolf packs.

the story telling pulls you in quickly. it is a long tale, and at times some of the wolf numbers can get confusing, but on the whole it's a must listen for any animal enthusiast or Yellowstone nature lover!

great reading by the book reader. his voice is very soothing, like one you'd find in a nature documentary on TV.

Great practical & story filled book on Habits!

Great narration.
Easy chapters to follow.
My favorite part is the appendix. it's what brought it full circle and has helped me apply what I learned to uncovering my own habits.
I listen to this book twice it was that useful in my life to help rewire some old and outdated Habits.
Two thumbs up for this book!!
