Really enjoyed this book. Obviously comparable to many LitRPG books I've listened to, but a tiny bit of ReadyPlayerOne type offerings in ther, with video game pieces and objects from real life in the RPG world.

Excellent naration. Jeff Hays is always fantastic.

Solid storyline.

Definitely want more from this series!!!

If you could sum up Brownstone in three words, what would they be?

Intensely, suspenseful mystery.

What did you like best about this story?

Not my favorite category of books, but one that I find favorites in now and then. I received the book for free to review, and didnt have expectations, but I was sucked in and couldnt stop listening.

Have you listened to any of Tom Lennon’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Solid and enjoyable, as usual

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nothing particular, but constantly twisting plot, lots of suspense, and plenty to keep you engaged.

Any additional comments?

YES! Love audible editions and virtually anything Jeff Hays does. He is excellent as usual

What did you like best about this story?

Love the category in general. This book isnt overly original, but if you like the category, you'll enjoy this book.

What made the experience of listening to The Next Chapter the most enjoyable?

Story line was compelling and interesting. A book that I definitely wished I had farther to drive at times, so I could listen more.

Started a little slow, but lots of intrigue after that that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Solid thriller book.

Have you listened to any of David J. Bell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No - very solid job though.

What did you love best about Wormwood Dawn: Episode IV?

Good conclusion of some story lines - very interested in what happens to these characters. Fast paced, funny, good action. Interesting twist on the origin of the infection and how it affects certain people.

VERY solid addition to my zombie library and post-apocalypse library.

Who was your favorite character and why?

They were all interesting and funny. One funny side note - good writing for the most part. No problems with the bulk of the writing. Just wished the author had a swear word thesaurus - characters generally responded to shocking things with "What the f*%k?" like 100 times. I actually like that the characters swear - that's real life. No problem there - just that it was always the same expression, even with different characters.

Solid, but repetitive story line - post apocalypse

Would you listen to Crude again? Why?

Maybe - solid and different twist to post-apocalypse. Oil has run out and the earth plummets into chaos due to that fallout. Protagonist is not a typical hero and not a military trained super shooter, prepper, or super human fighter.

Story line was pretty good. But the back and forth between protagonist and the main villain was tiring. How many times can we here this - "where's the girl?" - "I wont tell you". Or "where's your food?" - "I dont have any!", " come on, where's the food?" "I dont have any".

That back and forth repeated it self many times and often didnt feel like it would end. I ended up just wanting one of them to shoot the other just to stop the back and forth.

What did you like best about this story?

It's an interesting twist on post apocalypse - right in my favorite zone.

Have you listened to any of S.W. Salzman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No - good, not great. A little tedious at times but overall still enjoyable and worth the listen. I'll buy more in a series.

Where does Otherlife Dreams rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very solid opening book to the trilogy. Interesting combination of fantasy, role playing and video game genres. Very good listen. Interesting plot of the hero trapped inside a fantasy role playing game - NPCs are scripted but acquire full human characteristics. Definitely waiting for the next two books. Very enjoyable story line.

What other book might you compare Otherlife Dreams to and why?

Similar to Guardians of the Flame series or Critical Failures. Good addition to those type of books.

Have you listened to any of Jeff Hays’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Would have liked a bit more exploration into the rules of role playing and how that interplays with a human trapped in an RPG.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Narration was very solid. No issues.

If you could sum up Zombie Apocalypse Aftermath: The Night Sweeper in three words, what would they be?

Solid post-apocalypse story

What other book might you compare Zombie Apocalypse Aftermath: The Night Sweeper to and why?

To me, the book was sort of a cross between Jonathan Maberry's Rot and Ruin series and Joe Ledger. NOT as good as either of those two series, by a long shot, but a very good listen none-the-less.

NOT really about the zombies so much. They are a side note in this series so far. The zombies are a bit different in this series - night dwellars only, fast, dont spread infection by bites, etc.

Every survivor is immune to the zombie virus and zombies are just killers - the story is really a post-apocalyptic thriller about a man and a woman with special unique heightened skills obtained from genetic engineering in a secret lab before the fall of man.

Of course - they have to uncover the truth and survive through the harsh world and political intrigue and backstabbing from power mongers hoping to seize control of what's left.

What about John Pirhalla’s performance did you like?

Pretty solid. Good pacing. Decent with female voices. Pretty good with changing among multiple characters. Solid.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No - it was very good, not great. Love these kinds of books and it held my interest. It has some uniqueness, not just rehashed themes others have used.
