Outstanding Research

This is a must listen/read for any WW2 history and or aviation buff. I had no idea how critical the P51 was to securing victory and the sheer variety of aircraft including jets that the Nazis were capable of producing toward the latter half of the war. Also interesting was how long it took to convince the bureaucracy at the top to accept this aircraft as a game changer. Liked it so much I’m going to buy the print version to read after enjoying the audible version

For all of you ww2 buffs, this is very well written and full of fascinating details of the capabilities of this aircraft, missions flown and the bravery of its crews . Highly recommended !

After a brief stint in the Delta, Gwin was reassigned to the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) in An Khe. There, in the hotly contested Central Highlands, he served almost nine months as executive officer for Alpha Company, 2/7, fighting against crack NVA troops in some of the war's most horrific battles.

Excellent first person account. When I didn’t think I could have any more respect for those who served in Vietnam, I am in more awe of our soldiers who served there after reading this book. Superb narration as well.
