Concise telling of a long complex story

This telling of the story of the jews touches on the major people, places and events that constitute a story told many times before but is a great refresher or even introduction to the history of the most influential though small and misunderstood ethnic group of the world. A good quick read.

A very informative overview of a cruel and inhumane social activity. Another example of how one group of people can be exploited by others if they do not have the technology to fight back.

This book might have been an authoritative book in its day. But it is awful as an audio book. Not that the content is awful but the conversion to audio is! For example, the author makes reference to many web links and uses a term like "...can be found at this URL..." But there is no representation of the URL in either the recording or the PDF. The PDF looks like it was just thrown together at the last minute without the structure of the book to guide it by someone who didn't even look at the print version. Also the index uses "Chapter 1", "Chapter 2", etc. as chapter titles not the author's chapter names. I hate this practice it shows a real disregard of product quality.

As said above the text mentions examples which require visuals to understand. This was not a good book for audio because of this. I am disappointed that this was not caught before publishing.
