Historia
A dramatic misinterpretation of the Jewish tradition has shaped the history of the West: Christianity is the religion of love, and Judaism the religion of law. In the face of centuries of this widespread misrepresentation, Rabbi Shai Held—one of the most important Jewish thinkers in America today—recovers the heart of the Jewish tradition, offering the radical and moving argument that love belongs as much to Judaism as it does to Christianity.

Preaching of zdaka and commandments. Frivolous guessing regarding what God can and can't do. A good listen but I'd like my money back.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

No bullcrap of all positive smile thinking. Actually surprised how realistic it is and refreshing approach. Certainly not regretting about time spent.

Amazing how Rabbi Sacks predicted a lot of stuff going on now. It's a good conversations to listen to. Enlightening and without usual religious prophesies you expect of such literature. Brilliant as always with this author.

Historia
In 1948, Israel’s founders sought a “national home for the Jewish people,” where Jewish life would be transformed. The state they ultimately made, says Daniel Gordis, is a place of extraordinary success and maddening disappointment, a story of both unprecedented human triumph and great suffering.

Leftist agenda all over the place
Revisado: 12-11-23
Beginning of the book is interesting and factual. However at later stages of the book leftist propaganda is so obvous it's disgusting. Book was released before October 7th massacre. After October 7th this book with it's leftist push sounds like a very naive and childish to put it nicely. Not recommend.

If we stopped drinking altogether? Frank, funny, and always judgment-free, Sober Curious is a bold guide to choosing to live hangover-free, from Ruby Warrington, one of the leading voices of the new sobriety movement.

Intriguing ideas but it's AA in disguise
Revisado: 01-08-23
Book does have thought invoking ideas and imho worth the time spent. However take note this is another advert of AA in disguise so take it with salt. Book should be stating in description it is AA related.

Undercover AA advert
Revisado: 01-07-23
It is AA Big Book (their bible and holy grail) in other words and a bit modernized. Although partially interesting I did expect something other than AA preaching which anyways has whopping 7% success rate. That sect is not a solution to a problem but a part of it. It should be said in description that this is AA related material.

Never finished it. Purely academic study of business which gives you technically correct understanding of what complex words mean but zero progress in how to run a business. In short this one for economists engaged in academy studies.

Exceptional book introducing Talmud
Revisado: 11-21-22
This is exactly the book I needed to hear. I am a secular jew who heard about Talmud but never really has any idea what it is. Only rumors and stories far from truth. Thanks to this excellent book by Rabbi Steinsaltz and great narration by Shlomo Zacks I now understand much more regarding Talmud and my nation history. Highly recommended to everyone.
