Their views are articulated well enough, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, their views aren’t accommodated by reality. But, if you’ve ever wondered how to accommodate autism in people who don’t have autism, this book is for you.
These lectures are a master class in “Concept Creep,” where the meaning of autism becomes diluted to the point that we’re all a little autistic (something my junior high gym class already knew). Even worse, those who really do have autism or who care for loved ones who do will find no help here. No, the main audience are those who are so desperate to be on the intersection that they will force their way onto the “spectrum.”
