Historia
Here is the story of Klara, an Artificial Friend with outstanding observational qualities, who, from her place in the store, watches carefully the behavior of those who come in to browse, and of those who pass on the street outside. She remains hopeful that a customer will soon choose her. Klara and the Sun is a thrilling book that offers a look at our changing world through the eyes of an unforgettable narrator, and one that explores the fundamental question: What does it mean to love?

Beautiful title
Revisado: 12-03-24
I like Ishiguro's books, and like his other works, this one also has an original story with a weird and strange dark twist in the middle. This time, the book is about an AI robot, or let us say, an "Artificial Friend" — the common name for robots that serve as companions to teenagers. But, as always, the story takes a strange turn, just like other Ishiguro stories.
I love it because it's not predictable, and it draws the reader into a deep emotional hole where seeds of dilemmas and questions are planted. You will read the book and forget about it, but then the seeds will grow and start to poke your mind with questions. Questions that are relevant today — about AI, about robots, about humans, and so many other things.
It reminds me a little of Never Let Me Go, but it's quite different. What’s similar is that same emotional hole inside, filled with seeds of questions that grow slowly over time.

Historia
In one of the most acclaimed novels of recent years, Kazuo Ishiguro imagines the lives of a group of students growing up in a darkly skewed version of contemporary England. Narrated by Kathy, now thirty-one, Never Let Me Go dramatizes her attempts to come to terms with her childhood at the seemingly idyllic Hailsham School and with the fate that has always awaited her and her closest friends in the wider world.

How to tell you to read this book and not to spoil
Revisado: 08-28-24
Ok, this book is not an ordinary book. It's beautiful. It's simple and it is one of a kind.
It's a love story. but it's not a love story. It sounds like a true event and it's not. It is crazy, in a wonderful way, and please pick this one and listen to it.
I don't want to tell you anything about it inside. Not even a genre. Consider it as a gift and if someone starts to tell you about what's inside, feel free to slam it with a brick.
I only can tell you that I listen to books while I drive home and I find myself seeking longer and quieter routes to the office or home because of this one.

Historia
Hiram Taine is a handyman who can fix anything. When he isn't fiddling with his tools, he is roaming through the woods with his dog, Towser, as he has done for as long as he can remember. He likes things that he can understand. But when a new ceiling appears in his basement - a ceiling that appears to have the ability to repair television sets so they're better than before - he knows he has come up against a mystery that no man can solve.

Why it's different than other SF.
Revisado: 06-01-24
This stories are easy and quite imaginative full off brilliant ideas and easy to follow story line, that keeps attention. It's sad that some of this brilliant ideas didn't came up as a novel or script for a movie. If you find out that this ideas and stories are written in middle of 20 century that makes them even greater. Today idea of use AI for writing is in this book. I will not spoil but he did predict that. Big front yard is beautiful story about multi dimensions and story about the living blanket is crazy to. Don't be picky this collection is really good one in comparison to everyday zombie apocalypse titles, that looks like they are created with a machine. One that I find described in one of those stories. And yes written about 60 years ago.
