Nick J Russo’s narration was fabulous. It just made the books and stories even better.

Not very happy about how the internal struggles were resolved through an external force rather than the breakthrough of each characters. But a warm story and a great ending to a series anyway

Not a fan of the writing style
Long slow burn, and yet the character building was weak
Conversation didn’t really match the inner monologue. Dialogue was far from enough and the little conversation in the book felt repetitive and forced.

The narrator has a deep voice. But the pace and voice for different characters were just off.

Deep dive into the journey of grief and standing up again. Great writing. No dramatic storyline, rather a detailed and emotional character study. Through the pain of Abel, I felt the deep warmth and human connection. Simply beautiful.

The performance of the narrator : STUNNING !

Can’t wait for the next one

Alexander Cendese’s narration just ruined it for me

Story is quite sweet, writing is pretty fitting and smooth. Kirt Graves’ narration was very enjoyable: the pace, depiction of characters, performance overall were really good.

But, Alexander’s narration of the book just ruined it for me. He sounded very rushed, and read so quickly that there was no room for breath. Transition between dialogues, characters, monologue were just jarring. There were many sweet moments and great internal struggles in the book, but Alexander’s narration just ruined them all.

I would have purchased the next two books in the series, but after realizing Alexander narrated them, I just decided gave them up. Quite disappointing.

Great story, great writing. Chef’s kiss to the depth and details of psychoanalysis and emotion.

Really enjoyed the tension between MC. The climax in the end almost turned into some sort of thriller, which I can honestly do without, but great book anyway.

The narrator is AMAZING, so much dynamics and emotion. Definitely one of my favorite! Made the book even more enjoyable.

Feels like lectures and speeches

Dialogues between characters feel forced and feels like lectures where the author is trying to teach readers about identity, age, sexuality and such. What makes it worse is those speeches, in the form of dialogue and inner monologue, feels repetitive.

The author seems to be trying to tap on something serious. But the wording, repetitiveness, and the depth of exploration made the book fail at both story and meaning.

Better off to read a lgbtq+ essay collection

Narration:
Narrator has a good voice, but the little to none distinction between characters, between dialogue and inner monologue makes it hard to follow. Whispering voice sounds quite refreshing and intimate in the beginning, but using that tone all the time makes it sound flat

The setup of the story and the backgrounds of the MC are pretty interesting. Unfortunately author didn’t explored the dynamics enough. As a result, the development of relationship and love sounds a bit pushed.

Sex scene was not as steamy as author’s other books.

Sam’s narrator is quite disappointing. Voices and accents of different characters are not consistent throughout. Can’t feel much changes in emotion or energy in the narration as well, feels flat. Pronunciation sounds weird and uncomfortable sometimes.

On the other hand, Jesse’s narrator is pretty good and enjoyable. Wish he did whole book.

Story wise, not as steamy as the first or second book in the series, but the characters in this book are fullest
