Fascinating
Revisado: 07-29-20
Much more about the disfunctional Trump family than just Donald, despite the impression that it would be otherwise. BUT still interesting and a learning experience.

Excellent addition to the Dragon Tattoo genre

Lots of tumult. A little repetitive. Outstanding narration. A fun listen if you don’t object to a host of cracked heads.

On the 85th floor of a glittering high-rise in Los Angeles, Robert Tarza steps into the lobby of the Marbury Marfan law firm to discover his partner Simon Rafer lying in a pool of blood - an ornate dagger plunged into his back. Robert had worked with Simon for decades, and their relationship was fraught with conflict. But he never imagined he would wind up as the prime suspect for his colleague’s murder. As the evidence stacks up against him with frightening speed, he quickly falls from his respected position to that of a criminal dragged through the tabloids.

Entertaining and enlightening
Revisado: 11-13-15
A murder mystery wrapped in a criminal law procedural. Despite a number of improbable facts the book was quite entertaining. The main characters were nicely drawn, quirks aplenty, and the reader did an excellent job of making them real. I especially liked Oscar. Learned a great deal about criminal procedure along the way.

Fun but improbable
Revisado: 09-03-15
Entertaining, but an unrealistic number of improbable occurrences. It does give us some sense just how far technology might reach into the average citizen's life.

Revisado: 09-12-09
I've liked many of Kellerman's books, but this one is just awful. The dialogue sinks to the level of stupid and totally unnecessary, as if the author were trying to reach a page limit and needed filler. The story is uninteresting and slow, and the narrator's voices make several of the main characters sound like cartoon characters. The book is really not worth listening to.

Matthew Mercer and Harris Sandler are playing a mysterious game. It's a game almost no one knows about: not their friends, not their coworkers, and certainly not their bosses, who are some of the most powerful senators and congressmen on Capitol Hill.

Revisado: 02-13-04
Overwritten, too long, unbelievable, unlikeable main characters. If you have to read it, get the abridged version. The publisher's description is inaccurate. One of the friends dies at the beginning, and the rest of the story has the other friend tethered to a sixteen-year-old black female senate page exploring at too great length and in an utterly improbably manner an abandoned mine. Boring.
