Historia
Between April and July 1944, Truman Smith flew 35 bombing missions over France and Germany. He was only 20 years old. Although barely adults, Smith and his peers worried about cramming a lifetime's worth of experience into every free night, each knowing he probably would not survive the next bombing mission. Written with blunt honesty, wry humor, and insight, The Wrong Stuff is Smith's gripping memoir of that time.

Lots of good advice
Revisado: 07-15-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. Like the boys scouts...we need to be prepared.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really. Not that kind of book. The past couple of days we had three power outages and it got me thinking about this book. I listened to it a while back but never really put any of its advice into practice. But, what if we lost power for a few days or weeks, not just a few hours? Frightening possibility. My family will never go completely off the grid like the author, but I am going to look into not becoming so dependent on the almighty 'grid."
Any additional comments?
Really didn't understand why a few people got so upset because the author talked about his faith now and then. That was very minor. The huge amount of practical advice was what the book was all about...not religion.

Would you listen to 200,000 Miles aboard the Destroyer Cotten again? Why?
Yes, I intend to.
What did you like best about this story?
My husband was in the Navy but would never talk about it much. This gives me a wonderful opportunity to see the kind of life he lived back then.
What about James Killavey’s performance did you like?
Very good reader. Enjoyed his performance very much.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The terrible times when the Japanese suicide planes ( Kamakazies? ) caused so much death and destruction.
Any additional comments?
This has been one of my favorite listening experiences. Wonderful book and very well read.

This story is a masterful tale of horror that was first published in Weird Tales magazine in 1941. It is the story of young Charles Dexter Ward, who in 1918 becomes embroiled in the past, due to his fascination with the history of his wizard ancestor - who was known for his haunting of graveyards, as well as his apparent lack of aging, and his chemical experiments. Ward physically resembles this ancestor, Joseph Curwen, and he attempts to duplicate Curwen's magic and alchemical feats.
