Historia
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

Excellent!
Revisado: 01-02-25
While I generally don’t enjoy much fiction, I’m very grateful that a wonderful, highly trusted friend recommended this book, as well as It Ends with Us, to me and I thoroughly appreciated both. I truly appreciated the sensitivity and the complexity that the author displayed in her writing toward the very difficult subject of domestic violence. The characters were extremely well developed and realistic. Lily and Atlas’ journey in particular left me with a veritable plethora (pun intended) of hope for them and for their family in the face of the significant obstacles they both faced. I even found a modicum of hope that Rile could find a path for healing and growth after the actions he committed. Atlas embodied the mythological origins of his name, as he deftly carried the heavy weight of his past throughout the book with an impressive mix of social awareness, common sense, grace, and positive masculinity. Atlas’ reading of his realistic, yet heartfelt and aspirational vows to Lily at the end left me with an appreciative tear in my eye…actually a few tears. I look forward to reading similar books in the future. In conclusion, I’m quite grateful again for this ultimately hopeful book, along with the first book, and for my friend’s excellent recommendation.

Very useful advice
Revisado: 12-07-24
The book is excellent and the author is so engaged in her mission to help men discover their very best selves *for* themselves and, just as importantly for the women in their lives. The three stars under performance are not because of the narrator, who did an excellent job, but for the uneven audio levels in between chapters.

Authentically kind, well written, intelligent, inspiring, enjoyable, and relatable
Revisado: 08-05-24
Ms. Ledecky’s memoir is extremely well written, intelligent, and, most importantly, reflective of her authentic human kindness that is clearly built upon her open and steadfast faith and her effective integration of her unique talents into the world of those around her. I would recommend it to anyone who seeks a boost of inspiration. I am particularly appreciative of the fact that Katie authored all of this herself, as no ghost writer is listed. Perhaps Ms. Ledecky has a future in writing following the eventual close of her professional athletic career, if she were to so choose! Vis-à-vis her own recording of her book, I find that she has succeeded at her very first effort in this domain, as it’s an easy, enjoyable, relatable listen at any time of day. Thanks so much to her for sharing her story with us and for gently challenging us all, through her present example, to share the very best of our own intrinsic human gifts with others in quite a disciplined, yet balanced and thoughtful manner.

Thank you so very much for sharing your story. It is extremely inspiring and helpful. You are especially courageous for sharing and for owning your experience of traits of BPD, which, I’m sure we both know, unfortunately remains stigmatized even among some health professionals. I am grateful as well for your openness about your recent breakup and about how there remains light through the darkness in that portion of your life. Хвала лепо, Јелена!!

Authentic, pertinent, and intelligent writing and narration
Revisado: 08-30-23
Kristen’s concept of living in our comfort zone is extremely germane to our society that lives in nearly constant overdrive and very often unhealthy competition. Her writing style is masterful. Kristen’s narration is authentic, intelligent, enthusiastic, and warm. She did have a few mispronunciations (“lethargy” comes to mind, along with a couple of others); nonetheless, these small details do not take away from her wonderful work in relating her story to her reader/listener. It is said that audio narration/radio is a intimate medium and Kristen succeeded with great humility, yet great aplomb in helping the listener to feel right at home with her, as if listening around a comfortable fire with a kind friend. Many thanks to Kristen for sharing her story and I look forward to reading/listening to any new writing she undertakes!

What a gift!
Revisado: 07-19-23
Infinite thanks, Jewel, for sharing your life’s work with me, with all of us who care to tend an ear. What an ineffably generous gift you’ve shared. May I and may all of us feel our pain and trauma and work for a miraculous transformation of our presence. May your own wonderfully related story lead us toward the building of our best selves and toward showing mercy to those who are most in need so that they might do the same for themselves, thereby enriching their own perfectly imperfect humanity and that of those who love them. Thank you so much again, Jewel, for your highly intelligent grace, for your mercy, and for your openness. I wish you continued peace and continued discovery. I look forward to learning more with you and from you as the spirit might move you to share.

Revisado: 04-14-21
Justine’s analysis of that ineffable phenomenon of fame is extremely thorough, rigorous, honest, and heartfelt. Her experience within fame and without gave the reader a unique perspective. Justine’s un-memoir is second to none in its quality and relevance. She clearly cares that any one of us who reads/listens to her work find their own voice and contribution to our world. Thanks, Justine, for being unabashedly you and for sharing your life with us here for the betterment of humanity.
